Just don't watch the final episode under any circumstances... Star Trek's equivalent of Die Hard 5!! oO

If we all buy one and bury them in landfill will it help to remove the bad memory of the entire series?

Paramount would just make a documentatry in 20 years time detailing the search for the buried DVDs.... best to just use an incinerator ;)

I liked it, especially the third season, it just took a while to find its place, then got killed.

It was basically a load of chatlh

I enjoyed bits of it. Had an excellent mirror universe two-parter in the final series.

Very bland. It didn't do much for me. Mind you, my favourite Star Trek was Voyager. Which already labels me as "odd"!

Of the new generation stuff DS9 is my favourite but Star Trek original series remastered (sound and picture) is excellent and free to watch on CBS action...

DS9 is my fave, such a shame when it finished... could have run a few more years. I'd definitely buy it on Bluray if they decide to do it :)

DS9 was OK. Some parts were decent. But other times I was rooting for the Cardassians to kill of boring preachy Kira and the annoying Ki Windbag.

Also the terrible Vic hologram dragged on for too long.

DS9 had the biggest collection of un-likeable characters of any series.

What about that Kes in VOY - the character supposed to be the sexy female in the show but whose character was actually only 3 years old!? How messed was that?

It seemed that every episode she, or the other characters, were reminding us of her only being 3 but then we were supposed to see her as sexy??? Sorry, pretty messed up character storylining IMPO.

Thank goodness for Seven Of Nine.

True, but she still had more character development than stupid pan-pipe music Chakotay. Eugh just remembered the boxing episode.

The Chakotay episodes were often dire - the boxing one, the dinosaur ones, etc. Although he had a good one where Voyager split into several temporal time zones and he was the only character who could go forwards and backwards through the ship and Time.

Chakotay was neglected and under developed by the script writers, often when he was given screen time it had to do with something spiritual to play into the stereotype Native Indian background of his character.

Yep, it is worth having a google to read what the actor thought about all that.

Thanks that was insightful. I didn't know he was so vocal about the problems of the show, the director must of thought 7of9's lips would keep him sedated.

So it wasn't just me who felt that way? The Bajorans were generally so self-righteous and whiny that I totally understood why the Cardassians oppressed them for so long! Then again if Michelle Forbes had taken the role of Ro in DS9 I think that the Bajoran character might have been a lot more tolerable.

I really liked Enterprise, I think ST fans were in a way too snobby to accept its low tech era & setting. It was ment to be the federation in its infantcy and people had way too lofty expections of what an 'origins' story would be like.

Besides it picked up in the later series and was on the verge of something exciting before it got canned.

All in all they did a good job with a very limited budget, nothing like the million dollar episodes of TNG.

I agree, if you go back & watch TNG Picard is so stuffy & serious. Captain Archer made it more fun, so if you haven't seen it give it a try.
As for DS9 - Babylon 5 was much better. If you have watched both Babylon 5 & Star Trek then the spoof 'Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning' is worth a watch.

Yeah it was more care free and 'this is all new to us' in it's feel. I guess most had become accustomed to serious star-fleet, one which is run more like a military operation to maintain what they have rather than a pioneering exploration. Embarking on something new was always going to play as a somewhat clumsy ride through space and it worked well. Archer was very well played, he was a good captain.

You have to go into Enterprise with the mindset that ITS NOT STAR TREK!.... yet!
