Star Trek The Next Generation/Doctor Who Issue #1 [First Edition Print] (Forbidden Planet Variant) Signed by author Tony Lee £2.90 @ Forbidden Planet
OK, firstly I'm somewhat excited about this. Never before has there been a Star Trek / Dr Who crossover. Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise and Doctor Who and his companions team up when the entire galaxy is threatened by an unholy alliance between their respective greatest nemeses, the Borg and the Cybermen. Cool.
This is a first edition print, and a limited edition cover and signed by the author Tony Lee. Something like this only increases in value over time. Just ordered one to put away for laddo when he's older.
They said it would never happen! Nearly five decades and 1500 episodes in the making! The two greatest science-fiction properties of all time cross over for the first time in history, in Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Assimilation.
When the Federation's most terrifying enemy strikes an unholy alliance with one of the Doctor's most hated antagonists, the result is devastation on a cosmic scale! Spanning the ends of space and time itself, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the USS Enterprise find themselves joining forces with the Doctor and his companions, with the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance!
Written by Scott and David Tipton (the authors of the critically acclaimed Star Trek: Infestation) and Tony Lee and featuring the beautiful painted artwork of J.K. Woodward (Fallen Angel), this is the adventure that both Trekkers and Whovians have waited for all their lives! Geronimo? Make it so!
There is an event for this product at our London Megastore on Wednesday 30 May 2012 starting at 18:00 "Star Trek Meets Doctor Who" or you can buy online with postage only £1

Please excuse my ignorance, but is this an Offical TNG thing or is this a fan comic? I am a huge TNG/Star Trek and never heard of this before.

100% official - I got excited about it a few months ago LINK

Thanks very much for explaining that to me :) It looks like it could be quite a bargain then, signed and all, have some heat.
I really love TNG and really hate Dr Who, mostly because TNG is vaguely based in it's own world of science and Dr Who takes the fantasy element too far for me, but I will be really curious to see what it is like all the same.

And Borg / Cybermen team up sounds good. Love the Borg, but always thought they were a tiny bit of a rip off of the Cybermen; although the Borg are by far the better 'baddie'
all bow to his highness the wedge

Will be interesting to see how they team up rather than dominate each other for sure :)
Exactly what I've done. Bought one for myself and for my son. I'll just stick them away for a number of years
There's another cover too. This is the rarer variant cover and this one (below) is the standard cover (and Issue 2 next to it)
