nice find op, heat added :)

Good price - assuming that these will be the originals rather than the remasters? I know the remasters were primarily for HD, but the earlier few seasons of the original DVDs were so fuzzy it was almost VHS quality. If they had the downscaled remastered it would be definitely worth it.

Is visually the same packaging as this set on Amazon UK:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Trek-Next-Generation-Journey/dp/B004OBZLQ4

It was released in 2011, therefore i would imagine that it's NOT the remastered set.

Did not know that, was waiting for the Blu-Ray box set [think it is dec/jan] but if that is the case!

The HD restoration is amazing and the full 1-7 box set is out a week on Monday (15th December), but will set you back over £150. Watching it in HD is like watching it again for the first time, but obviously that is a massive difference in price. Personally I would say BluRay is only way to watch it but you might have to wait a while for it to come down to an attractive price

A good price, I agree. Also, as has been pointed out, Voyager complete is there as well as DS9 and Enterprise. According to CCC Zavvi prices beat Amazon's Black Friday.

Personally I'm waiting for the blu-ray set of TNG to drop in price, which it inevitably will. You've only got to look at box sets such as House MD that dropped to the £50 mark recently after sticking at an exorbitant price for a while.

However, that being said there will be a very long wait for DS9 and Voyager to come out on blu-ray. Afterall it's taken years for the remasters to be done for TNG so it's a saef bet that DS9 and Voyager will last a good while as DVD purchases.

Hear added!

I couldn't agree more on the quality of the blu-ray. I rented them from LoveFilm when the first season was released. From watching it on Sky's poor bandwidth Sky 1 channel to watching it on the blu-ray; quantum leap in quality. When you first see the Enterprise roll into view and see how much detail and subtle colouring is there you'll be blown away.

Fantastic - I'd ordered this for a friend for Christmas & it arrived with the box damaged from Amazon yesterday. Ordered this last night at a cheaper price (10% off with code WELCOME for new customers) and the Amazon one can go back from whence it came! Thanks!

The remastered series is ok SciFi HD. I've got a series link and been watching them at the weekends :)
