Good price but bad product, I ordered this the other week and watched a bit of it for the 1st time yesterday and it has to be one of the worst things I have seen on HD-DVD because the picture quality it not much better (if any) than dvd it also has black bars down the sides of the tv, supposedly because it kept the 4.3 aspect ratio that it was filmed in.

Obvious question, but did you put the disc in the right way up? since its DVD one side and HD-DVD the other side, and exactly the same content on each. Its a bit grainier than modern HD-DVD movies, but still quite sharp.

As for the 4:3 aspect ratio, yes, that is how it was filmed, widescreen wasnt used in television until the late 90s, if you want it to fill your TV screen, you'll end up either with bits missing at the top and bottom, or the image stretched so everyone has fat heads.

Yes tried both ways and they both looked roughley the same(PQ) but different menus, had it in the correct way the 1st time and turned it round because I though I had it in the wrong way but I didnt.

I know about it being filmed in 4:3 and that they never had 16:9 back then, just wasnt expecting it  but widescreen was used even before the 60's
