Great game at a great price

I've got ridiculously fond memories from playing this on the original PS2 online!

Wow, I haven't played this for years. It used to be great on the PS2 :D

Never seen it on the PC though, do many people play it online?

Depends on how many people think its a good deal. Lets just hope what's happening with Starwars: Empire at war doesn't happen with this.

I remember playing the original battlefront and it wasn't too good. Will give this a go for £3.25 though! HOT!

Also works fine with Windows 7 64 bit!

Some people are having "failed to contact key server" error when starting it. A mod on the forum, and a message on the games store page, says that they ran out a key's and are trying to get some more. So some people can't play it.

Is it still played online though ?

I have bought it anyway :)

Doesn't work on Vista and could barely get sound out of it on Windows 7.

Not sure it's worth the hassle if you have either OS as there's sod all support.
#10
well its just past 20% so not much longer and i will find out..hopefully it will be okay on Win 7..

Ahh this game is an absolute classic, i just couldn't resist going for it!
The steam page says it supports vista and i can't think of a reason why it wouldn't?
Guess will just have to wait and see, i'm at 18% atm. Has anyone had any luck so far?

Yeah. I own the Disc version and have been playing that on XP\Windows 7 fine. I had problems with Vista but I somehow sorted those problems out but can't remember what I did. I just bought the game off steam and its started up fine with sound etc.

Just had some great matches. This game may be old but it hasn't lost any of its 'fun factor'.

No No No!!

Not working for me- keeps crashing to desktop in single and multiplayer. Read some things about disabling sound to get it to work but what is the point of that! I wounder if Steam will give a refund?

Great game I even like the first one. there's a lot of excellent Star Wars games, Jedi Knight Mysteries of the Sith has brilliant levels, probably won't work on anything past XP, could try XP mode in Windows 7 though if your OS is compatible. Jedi Knight Dark Forces II is excellent as well as Jedi Academy I remember the MP being great on those games, deathmatch with light sabres was gaming gold! In fact the whole Star Wars pack is £34.99 great value if you can play them. I think I will install steam on XP mode and see if the older ones will work. Will have to check what the emulated gfx card in XP mode is capable of, can't see it having a prob with the older ones.

ED: Soon realised the error of my ways, XP mode doesn't support Direct X or GPU acceleration. I'll try XP compatibility mode instead.

That's nonsense I played it last night on Vista Ultimate, it's an issue with you, not the game on Vista

Voted hot by the way :)
