Best offer I've seen for this long-awaited Blu Ray box set. Using voucher code JSDB1605, get 20% off all Blu Rays and DVDs from Sainsburys Entertainment, for first time buyers. If you're not a first time buyer, then you can always set up an email account and register a new Sainsburys account.

Worked out at £51.99 this morning, but due to a price change, 20% off now gets to £54.39p. Still good, but not as good.

£51.99 is a price i will pay. ordered.

everyone seems to be selling it at the £65 mark at the moment, it probably will come down further for the first couple days of release but i doubt it will come down much further for a couple months.

Don't do it... Don't succumb to the dark side, do not encourage that robbing bastage Lucas to release any more butchered and money grabbing editions of this once fine series.
#9
I'll be waiting for £24.99 myself. Happy to hand over the money if it helps to fund the on-hold live action TV series.

"9.10 We will not charge your credit or debit card until we despatch your order however, your card issuer may reserve funds in your account against the order. If the order is cancelled, we will cancel our ability to call on those funds. Your card issuer will not instantly release those funds as it is standard Banking practice to wait for the original authorisation to expire. Please contact your card issuer for details on their policy.

In the event that a number of Products are purchased in an order and there are different dispatch dates then your credit card or debit card will be charged on those different dates."

Isn't this going to be the same as the US version? They're not taking out the headbutt just for us again are they?
#16
Do they take payment right away I can't remember now....
#17
Like hell am i buying these films again, they seem to re release them every couple of years.

By 'complete' I assume it includes the feature length Plinkett reviews ?

If not, I'm out.
#19
That's hot in comparison to what other retailers are selling at.... Regardless of viewpoint (at least each movie is on one disc TROLOL).
#20
I must be the only person on the entire planet who hasn't seen this (originals or prequels).

However, on my list of films to watch... hopefully when under tenner ;)
#21
They don't charge your card until despatch but they reserve the funds so they practically take it out of your account.

Defeats one of the points of pre-ordering for me.

...i find your lack of OT disturbing.

STILL NOT BITING MR LUCAS!!
#23
Good price compared to other retailers but voted cold for what it is. Would've voted hot if it included the original versions of the original trilogy like my DVD does but it's only going to have the Lucas-ised versions. Also, it's too much. Blu-ray's not worth that much more than DVD IMO. Maybe if it was 3D Blu-Ray or extended editions but not worth it for slightly "better quality"

Hot for me too but probably as soon as it's released and people find out that Lucas added Princess Leia dreaming of her mother and a thousand more re-touches to the original movies it will drop to £49 and soon after to £35
I remember what a bummer to have the old trilogy tainted with Hyden Christensen right at the end of Return of the Jedi. If I had known I would have never bought the boxset. Later I sold it and bought the limited edition with both versions. My message is, don't trust it! Pre-ordering Star Wars is a very shady bet. Most likely you're going to regret it (if you are a fan of the untouched old trilogy)

Great! now that it's on blu ray, we will have our choice of:

the Enhanced Digitalised Bluray version
the Director's ReDigitalised Bluray version
the official FaceBook version with friend invites for flipping jar jar binks edition
the Alternative Ending (720p and 1080p versions) edition

the list goes on.
what a load of trollop. how many different editions of the same crap can they keep on regurgitating, and how often will people keep buying this tripe?

Why are these being released yet again? I own these on Betamax, why does Lucas feel the need to release them again and again? Wasn't that release good enough?

I must be the only person on the entire planet who hasn't seen this (originals or prequels).

Wait until the originals are released in HD in their unaltered form. The current versions have been tinkered with twice, firstly in 1997 and then again when the DVDs came out a few years ago. Some of the changes are so awful it completely ruins the films. Eg. a CGI dance number added to Return of the Jedi. Urg.

Ah if my calculations are correct, this makes each under a tenner.... or unless you're like the other 99% of people who's waiting for them -to be under a tenner for all six :)

I'm happy never to buy it if it won't :) Mr Lucas has done enough damage to the franchise for me now, even if it is his to ruin.

Reasonable price, but i'm afraid i couldn't bring myself to vote anything that includes Jar Jar hot.
