Saying that I bet these look great upscaled on a decent LCD or Plasma set-up, the transfers on all the Star wars DVDS so far have been superb.

He has "no plans" to release any of them on Blu-ray.

Then again he said he had "no plans" to release any of them on DVD once upon a time...

They do - I just watched Episode IV on DVD via the PS3 the other day (the 2006 releases) and it looked fantastic.

bought these last year for £4.99 each
would of though most people would have these by now
voted cold

For those of you with multi region players, you may want to consider the American cut Region 1 of Episode 2. I contains a slightly more violent cut eg Obi Wans head butt on landing deck. Just for info :)

I was thinking that, the lowest I've seen them was £5.99 last December at HMV(which I personally posted), they've stayed around £13 ever since. That's why I've only just added eps 1 and 2 to my collection with this offer.

i remember on the big breakfast they had george lucas in the shed and he said he wasnt going to release them on dvd until all eps had been made (meaning 1 - 3) he also said it would be in one big boxset.

he usually waits a few years then changes all the films but puts alot of effort into the discs to make u reluctantly buy "that version" BOBA FETT WASNT A KIWI!!!!!!!!!! argarh

Like aberfal - there appears to be a lot of STAR WARS stock about, i paid £4.99 - Quidco from HMV and play last year for same, sorry cold... play had them on offer a few weeks back again for less.

Sorry but i have purchased all episodes via play and hmv all double disc edtions etc....

I think people are judging this deal by their own personal views of them films. We all know they weren't that great.

I know from looking at a lot of DVD prices nearly every day that these have rarely dropped below roughly the £13 mark before - they were £5.99 before Xmas last year but I've not seen them so cheap since.

hot from me missed this when it was first posted, ordered

I liked ROTS the most out of the prequels - (1st to last)ANH>ESB>ROTJ>ROTS>TPM>TCW is my personal list.

Mine were delivered on Friday as I was missing eps 1 and 2. I'll give them another go, one thing is for sure though, the DVD transfers and special features are all outstanding on the Star Wars DVDs.

You will be waiting a long time then unless you get a pirated version
Lucas wants to keep the releases separate - original to new
