I think these are the same editions.

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (Limited Edition, Includes Theatrical Version) £12.99 @ CDWow or a bit less with £1 or £2 off vouchers.

STAR WARS: EPISODE V - THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (LIMITED EDITION) (TWO DISCS) £13.79 @ Powerplaydirect or with the £1 off voucher from voucher section

STAR WARS: EPISODE VI - RETURN OF THE JEDI (LIMITED EDITION) (TWO DISCS) £13.79 @ powerplaydirect or £1 less as well

Apologies if these are not the same editions, but I think they are.

Or better still, get them in the box set for £24.99 delivered @ amazon

The first 3 links you've put are correct, they are the same films. The last one is not. Basically these 3 DVD's which get released on the 11th September are the Original Star Wars releases, not the touched up/edited ones.
That 3 film boxset is the one that's been about for ages and has the edited versions of the films.

Good to see they are finally releasing the original films and not the "attempt to milk more money from fans" special editions.

I know, it's not like they've already released these in every other flavour anyway and format know to man.
I might just have to go for it...

Hello Kitten.
Just to clarify, and I think the confusion is largely due to the fact that there are so many different versions out there, the link you have posted is not for the original 3 films, which is what this thread is about.

CD-Wow are doing the all three of them for £12.99 each.

There's also Australian versions of all three for £11.99 each - but of course there are vouchers, discount links and Quidco to bring that down even further.

Depends how much of a purist you want to be in collecting these - don't know if the sleeves will be any different to the UK versions. They're Region 2&4 so will work on UK players.

UK Empire Strikes Back (£12.99) - http://www5.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php?product_code=387611&subcat=region2

UK Return Of The Jedi (£12.99) - http://www5.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php?product_code=387612&subcat=region2

Aussie Star Wars (£11.99) - http://www5.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php?product_code=384334

Aussie Empire Strikes Back (£11.99) - http://www5.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php?product_code=384336

Aussie Return Of The Jedi (£11.99) - http://www5.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php?product_code=384337

Use this link from the HotUKDeals voucher section to automatically take £1 off all DVDs (but you need to go through this link and search for them - go to DVDs, then Multiregion, then Pre Releases!)

thta was the worst bit when they took that out at the end of return

Just to warn everyone: these versions are not cleaned up, not anamorphic and as it's the 30th anniversary next year, almost certainly won't be the last chance to own the original editions. I'm the biggest Star Wars fan I know but I certainly won't be buying these because they just haven't had any effort put into them at all.
