I watched it the other night. Irrespective of what you think of the film, it's probably the best 3D movie I've seen in terms of visual impact. The effect of an Star Destroyer protruding several feet into my living room was the most memorable.

given heat but its a con this has come out after the general release in an attempt to make fans pay twice.

They do on preorder price guarantees. You should get an automatic email tomorrow. :)
#17
Pointless unless you have a laser Imax screen in your living room.
#18
Assume this doesn't include 2d version?
#19
Considering the standard version still hovers around the £15 mark this is a bargain. Despite this being national still think someone @ Asda has cocked up.

Does that still count if the price is dropped after it's been shipped though?

They've dropped the price on day of release; I'd say so

I'm in the same boat, but I had a look at their pre-order promise and it mentions if the price drops before or ON release date, so we should be refunded the difference

If you've actually been charged £19.99 just message customer service about it. Amazon refund you any price difference for upto about 2 weeks on an item

I had a £35 box set I ordered which dropped to £28 a week later, and after a message they refunded me £7 no trouble

Yes. It covers up to midnight tonight. :)

If you haven't got this already, then this is the best version to go for, even if you haven't got a 3D TV. Amazon are still charging £15 for the original 2 disc version, yet this includes that plus a new commentary and additional extra features (and a 3D copy) for only £13!
#27
anyone watched it yet, how is the 3d?

thanks for asda/ Amazon comments - ordered!!

Will have to get this to relive that "the star destroyer is about to poke me in the eye" feeling I got when I saw it on IMAX in Las Vegas. At least I won't have 800 idiot Yanks whooping everytime an old character appears and chanting "USA...USA" all the way through it.

I had that too - when the dude from 'Girls' unmasked a few girls infront of me almost passed out and started squeling, I had no idea who he was...

Should be expired - it went back to £19.99 about 20 mins ago. Guy at work went to buy at £13 and by the time he'd grabbed his credit card it had gone up. Think it finished at 4pm.

Will tesco or Sainsbury's price match as part of any price guarantee?

I don't have a 3d tv - but is this not the definitive edition of the movie so far in terms of extras?

Yes, this includes the 'legacy' special features from the original release and a few new ones, as well as an audio commentary from J.J.
