Why not make it a full scale replica...can't see the point in this!!!

...good price though if you're into this sort of thing.

Does anyone know if this does shoot or is just ornamental?

According to the internet "the blaster pistol fires cohesive bursts of light-based energy". However, do be aware that although they "deliver a searing concussive blast, they can be foiled by magnetic seals and deflector shields".

If it's just ornamental it would probably deliver a blunt concussive thud, but I highly doubt at this price that it is. HOT!

:-D I love you guys.

Isnt there another one that IS full scale? Was listed on here about 2 years ago - reduced from 399 to 199 on play.com at the time...

EDIT: Found it on amazon.com:

The one listed here looks like this:

I know I'm a geek...

If it was full size I would have got one (for a friend, honest)
#16
I'm suprised they even let it into the country.

One time i went to ireland (well before 9/11) and brought a supersoaker water gun and was going mental about it because it was a 'gun'. Stupid gimps

Paddy “Have you done us a packed lunch?

Max “Have I.”

[Opens a package to reveal a old gun]

Paddy “What on earth is that?”

Max “That my friend, is a German Broomhandle Mauser.”

Paddy “I’m not using that”

Max “Why, what’s wrong with it?”

Paddy “It’s an antique that’s what it is.”

Max “Hey. It’s not an antique. There’s nothing wrong with that. It was my granddad’s. He shot a German with this.”

Paddy “Was that in the Second World War?”

Max “No, it were in Benidorm. He had a row over a sun lounger”

If you want to get really gun geeky you could start talking about sterling sub machine guns, MG34/42's, lewis guns, vostock target pistols even cut down lee enfield's with tin cans on the end.
Not that I would do that of course - that would be nerdy, a bit scary and probably immensely boring. Besides those that would be remotely interested would know already I'm sure.
Having said that if Lucas can make 40+ year old kit look ultra modern by gluing plugs on I reckon I might have a go on my decrepit mondeo. I might even try it on my gran.
oh and heat added btw

While I appreciate the quote, I have to out-geek everyone and say that actually Han shot the communicator out with a stormtrooper rifle.

OK, OK I'll get my coat...
