Star Wars Original Trilogy Bluray Pre order only £29.99 delivered at Sainsburys Entertainment. Cheapest I can find anywhere and great if you just want the original triology and hate the prequels. Don't forget Nectar Points, 58 Nectar Points.

You can still get the Prequels if you wish for £29.99 too hence all together all 6 Blurays cost less than £60! A bargain in my opinion heres the link for the prequels for those interested.:

It was the cheapest I could find to be honest at the moment and everything else seems at least £5 more than this. If these are remasters does this mean they intend to release more Blurays in the future but of a higher quality?

Your right unfortunately. They have increased both sets back to £33.99 and the Complete Saga from £60.99 to £69.99 :(

How can you hate the prequels? Admittedly some bits are aweful (jar jar binks springs to mind) but they're not that bad. IMHO revenge of the sith is a close second favourite to empire!

My apologies I didn't say I hate the prequels personally its just most of the deals posted have had a large no. of comments with people saying how much they hate the prequels. Your perfectly right with the Jar Jar Binks comment! The first and second were probably the worst, but I agree Revenge of the Sith did redeem itself :)

There's way too much to mention in this small text box; just go watch Plinkett's Prequel reviews.

Seconded. His reviews point out so well where Lucas went so badly wrong.

Does no one else think these will plummet in price a few months after release?

They tend to hold their price, but I do expect an announcement a few months after by lucus to say he's planning on making the last 3 episodes!

what last three episodes?

As much as I like Star Wars, I can see a bit of money making here.... Blu Rays now, 3D versions released at the cinema possibly next year, then I bet 3D Blu Rays after that! Does anyone know what the quality of these Blu Rays might be like - bearing in mind the age of the films?!

the star wars saga was 9 chapters episodes long so far 1-6 have been made Lucas said long time ago, i dont know if he going to make the last 3 or maybe he will CGI the last 3 who knows but the actors are not getting any younger are they? got to be done soon before time runs out, unless the last 3 dealwith the aftermath of return but have the children of our heroes against a new enemy?

i wouldnt bother buying seperate anyway - only complete set has the 3 bonus discs of extra features and as a proper fan thats the only version i, or any fan would want.

i used my last 15% zavvi code on preordering this so its going to be around £59 less quidco too and i for one think its worth every penny.

well the proper version is the entire 6 boxset

Would think so as they wont sell as many since they have used the 97 versions. mind you, plenty of folk out there wont know the difference!
