A couple of faulty ones which were then exchanged It's a kids watch costing a tenner! They look fine in the video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qM5qwxr69qE

And? So a few poor reviews out of how many sold - 100s? 1000s? So you're gonna base your vote or decision to buy on just a few reviews out of probably 1000s already sold?! Wouldn't stop me buying it, there's mixed reviews on many things.

Oh come on Whizz you know it's a plie of cr+p dont you?

Blimey, what planet are some of you on - it's a simple fun toy for a 3 year old, not 18+! I imagine those 2 reviewers bought it for much older kids who expected more from it.

I wouldn't call those reviews mixed, no one says anything complimentary about it, the most flattering review said it didn't work but they had no problems exchanging it, presumably for something else. Not one of them worked, could it conceivably be that it's reduced by a fiver to shift the stock as none of them work?

You don't get it do you, a few bad reviews out of how many likely purchases so far??? Who would base their decision to buy simply on a few bad reviews - even a universally-accepted 'hot' item often has several (or more) bad reviews (look at cameras, tvs etc) - would that necessarily stop you buying it? Of course not - one persons idea of good or bad is not everyones!

All you're doing is slating a deal that you have no personal knowledge or experience with, based on a few reviews you've read, possibly out of 1000s of other happy purchasers - pointless! It's a £10 kids toy watch, not a Rolex, what sort of build quality would you expect?

I'm basing it on others experiences, you're basing it on nothing at all, if it's so great surely it's have good reviews? Can you provide any information contrary to the 3 reviews of people who have purchased the product? Do you know for a fact that it has sold more than 3? Your entire arguement is based on YOUR OPINION, as you can see by the voting not many people agree, sorry if that offends you but people are in fact allowed to use their own judgement.

"Basing it on others experiences" - what, all of 3 people??? No, of course I don't know they've sold more than 3 - but I'm willing to bet if I rang them up and asked you might be very surprised. The point is, you voted a deal cold after reading a few reviews, as I said above, one person's idea of value for money differs from others. Many HOT deals on here have plenty of bad reviews, it doesn't mean the deal's bad nor - to some - good! If you don't know personally, then why vote at all?

33% off is not a good saving? Ok then, that's why dvds that are only 1 quid cheaper than elsewhere get so hot then....

I'm not saying you can't , but If you read the rest of what I wrote, perhaps you'll agree. Frankly, a turd reduced from £15 to £10 is still a turd, if this was a tv reduced from £500 to £400 but the only info I had on it was a selection of bad reviews then I'd vote it cold too, and it would appear that I'm not the only one with the same opinion.

Well obviously speaking from that area too then, since you have no personal knowledge of the item to back up your opinion...

Are you suggesting that I buy an where the only reviews I've read have been negative? Would you buy a car that had been given bad reviews in motoring magazines on the basis that "they must have sold thousands and it's only a few bad reviews"? I guess that you're an eternal optimist and wish you all the best in life but fear that you're doomed to failure.

Strange, you didn't mention the good review on the dalek whizz watch - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2833392/Trail/searchtext%3EWHIZZ+WATCH.htm. No doubt the 2 reviewers probably did get faulty ones - as happens - and I'd bet 1000s of others are quite happy with theirs.

What? Dalek what? I didn't mention the mirror I bought in Argos last month either because it also has nothing to do with this.

If you bothered to look, you'd have found there are 4 or 5 different whizz watches by the same manufacturer. So yes, when someone reviews saying the build quality of all their stuff is bad, it's quite relevent. It's called personal views, and as I said before, what 1 person views as **** another won't. Especially when your 3 yrs old.....! I mean build quality, what to you expect for £10 - many toys are like this, they don't have much longetivity, kids watches among them. Many of the toys I've bought my kids are utter ****, not worth the money - does that always stop you from buying them it? If you're being honest, then no....

Anyway, you have a lot to say for someone who's only managed to post 1 deal in 9 months, at least I make the effort, good or bad.

Actually, I wasn't saying anything about the manufacturer, I was simply basing my voting cold on the 3 bad reviews and no positive ones, you're obviously getting desperate if you feel you have to put words in my mouth. But fine, the manufacturer can actually make decent quality products some times, hurrah for them, I'm ecstatic. It doesn't alter the fact that this one has awful reviews and this post is about the Star Wars one, until further info to the contrary surfaces then I'll consider this a turd along with everyone else who has turned this deal into a giant icicle.
Personally I would have thought build quality quite pertinent for a 3 year old, I certainly wouldn't want any kids to choke to death on bits that have broken off of a shoddy product but maybe I have a higher regard for human life.
I've actually posted 3 deals since I've been here but never let anything like facts get in your way, common sense obviously doesn't, each deal has had heat because I've never posted shoddy tat and have read the reviews beforehand to guard against that occasion. The reason I posted on this was being considerate, pure and simple, everyone was voting cold so I told you why I was, if I'd known you were going to be so beligerent about it I would've just voted cold and not bothered to explain myself.

I notice that you fail to answer any of my points, but here's another one? How many positive reviews? Posted a lot today didn't we? I forgot it was half term.
Btw, how do you know there were 2 complaints? Did Argos tell you or did the manufacturer?
