Star Wars: Clone Wars will be an expansion and continuation of the similarly-named 2003 TV series which picked up where the theatrical feature Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones left off, as an epic civil war rages. The problem with Star Wars purists is that they forget that these films are made for kids, and that they were kids when they first saw them. It's for kids- you're not a kid- get over it.

No. The problem is that you don't have a clue. I doubt i'm what you'd call a purist - i like the phallic menace! Yes i was a kid when star wars was out but my mum enjoyed it. You know why? because they WEREN'T made for kids they are FAMILY films, i.e can be appreciated by all ages on different levels. Not to mention that most of the people who know me would disagree with your observation - I laughed in a presentation the other day when someone said cocci! - clone wars is just BAD you get over it. The animated series by the samurai jack guys not bad, good in fact. age is not directly proportional to interpretation of quality.

Practically all films made for kids are family films, since five year olds are unlikely to go to the nearest multiplex on their own. My point is that the age that you are when you first see these 'family' films determines how you will respond to them, and that seeing the same film at 27 with the mindset of a 27 year old means that you are missing out on the way that a child experiences them.
