Next best over £10. Pre-order for 08/12/08 Star Wars: Clone Wars will be an expansion and continuation of the similarly-named 2003 TV series which picked up where the theatrical feature Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones left off, as an epic civil war rages. It will feature the various conflicts between the Galactic Republic, led by Supreme Chancellor Palpatin, and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, led by Count Dooku and General Grievous.

Because it's coming out on Blu-ray too?
Just ordered the BR for £25.19.

Thanks. Pretty awful film but my son liked it... he'll learn!

So do I take it you would routinely search the BR section for DVD's? I normally look through the DVD section myself. Maybe that's the trick to finding bargains
rubbish film, but as a star wars fan I'll have to buy it
Just ordered the BR for £25.19.

lol, are you insane?

Lol, nah, just don't search format-specific ;)
Think they've corrected this now - doh! :oz
Looks like it's been taken down now. The link directs to a film called 'Angel Face' and a search for Clone Wars in their engine turns up nothing.
Damn - too late! :-(

Yeah, I had order conf last night at about 1:30am. We'll have to wait and see!
Just got this email. Oh well it did sound too good to be true ....

Dear Customer,

Please accept our apologies. Due to a database error, a page appeared on our website yesterday evening allowing you to place a pre-order for STAR WARS CLONE WARS at an incorrect price. The corruption meant that all orders placed for this item were rejected by our systems and your order was not therefore successful. This item is not yet available for pre-order via us and we do not yet have a price confirmed (although we expect our price will be around £17-18).

You will not therefore receive this DVD. We hope to have the correct information up on our site in around a week, and you can place a new pre-order then. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Kind regards

Peter Curtis
Yep, I got the same.

The email is, of course, a lie. There was no "corruption". Some numptie just put up the wrong price. The system also did not "reject" the orders. The orders were entirely successful, that's why we all got automatic order confirmation emails, because payment cards were checked and the system accepted the order.

I really think the rules should be changed about mis-prices. If a high street store mis-prices something on their systems, and you buy it, it's their loss. Unfortunately with online ordering the point of dispatch is deemed to be the equivalent of buying something in a store, as opposed to the point of the payment card being accepted.

Ah well, worth a try.
