You must be on crack if you ever though this was going to get hot. Yes, this is epic news. No, the price is not.

Does anyone know the total amount of different formats Star Wars has been released on now? Iv got one of the (many) VHS versions, never got the DVD as by that time I was already expecting an HD version. I mite hold off for the Super HD version, 5-6 year till we get that I recon.

It will be reduced closer to the time I am sure but probs around the fifty pound mark. The producers are probly just testing the waters but then again it is star wars and plenty of people would pay this money, I for one wouldnt as its that price everywhere so ill wait until the inevitable price drop before release.

VHS, Betamax, laserdisc, VCD and DVD so far and in many different versions. I have them on all formats, not that I have a VHS or Betamax or laserdisc player anymore! :)

Ordering nine months before release at this price when a little over two months after release it'll be nearing half this price is the action of somebody who doesn't know how to shop. Simple.

I'm sure if you think of any popular film you can churn out how many formats it has been released on, I am pretty certain The Sound of Music has been released on all these formats numerous times.

Decent price if you must preorder, I'll be waiting for it to hit the £40 mark before purchasing, I'm in no rush

I cant remember who on telly said it, but when the 2nd Special Collectors limited edition bells and whistles DVD release came out they summed it up nicely saying that it's like a 'Lucas Tax' for Star Wars Fans. So many releases so many formats. I'll wait for now thanks. i'm sure this will be cheaper elsewhere nearer to the time but Heat added for the the love of the Jedi.

They always take the pi*s when it comes to releasing Star Wars on different formats.
DVD had been around for years before they finally released it, and now we've had to wait for Blu-ray.

I only rate the original trilogy anyway so would rather just own them (New Hope, Empire, Jedi).
