# Individual injection molded matte black display stand accented with a gold Star Wars logo and the name of the character

# The lighting effects are produced by a string of 64 super-bright LEDs that ignite sequentially inside the blade.
# Features five motion sensor controlled sound effects recorded from the movie: power-up, idle hum, swing, clash, and power-down.
# Blade has three built-in motion sensors for super sensitivity: 2 for detecting movement and 1 for detecting the impact of the blade.
# Durable hilt looks and feels like a real lightsaber.
# Measurement 85cm x 5cm x 5cm

I'd been waiting for this to be reduced from £34.99 or £37.99 (or whatever it was before) for ages...

When i told my family that i would like a light sabre for Christmas they laughed, but i really do! even when you tell people what you want you don't get it:cry:

Aww... just buy your own xmas presents. I've bought myself 3 already

This was £59.99 in toysrus today, so good value. I bought a bunch of assorted ones from play.com last year for about £25-30, and whilst this one is a little shorter than the others it's a cool colour and the handle is pretty cool.

Hot.

I bought this the last time. Have the luke skywalker and darth vader ones too!! Kids love them. They are very realistic and I would say most likely the ones they used in the original movies. The sounds they make are brilliant. You can fight with them. They are very tough!! I get a right doing off the kids!! I gave the yoda one to my 5 year old as it is smaller than the other two. She is mental with it!!!
Best to buy this and another as you will have fun in battle!!!
I paid £24.99 each for the 3 but at this price it is a bargain

Play have been doing at this price for a few days now; I ordered a about a week ago then it instantly went up in price and hey presto its back down again :)

Not only has this model been reduced but the other two as well; the blue Anakin and the red Vader model as well. I think they are slighly more but they both larger (hilts)

Is there a chance that the other two may come down in price? How cheap have they gone before? This is a good deal but I think anyone would rather own the Vader or Luke sabers, haha.
#12
Just want to add that I have bought 4 of these last week for that price for my son and nephews.

All the lightsabres were £24.99 around last Christmas and there were some £5 off £50 coupons available. The current price is still very good for what is a high quality piece of work and certainly a lot cheaper than any other retailers as far as I know.

What are they made of? are they flexible/ whack'able? I know if I bought these for my 6 and 8 year old they wont be able to resist bashing them around.

They have metal handles and the blade is a tough frosted plastic with bright coloured LEDs. I have no idea how much of a beating they will take, though they are designed to be hit "a bit" because they have specific sound effects that trigger when they clash together. I gave one to my 5 year old last year and have had no problems, but I have to say that he has been quite gentle with it (at least as far as I know).

Thanks for the informative reply.

They say, when you have one Child you're a parent. When you have 2 (especially boys of similar ages) - You're a Referee!

I have the Yoda one. Though my Dad laughed at me everyone else that has seen it thinks it's absolutely amazing (It sits on top of my fireplace which is perhaps a little geeky, but nobody can resist picking it up).

I took it out round town this Halloween and got loads of attention, though I had the good sense to declare it before taking it into any nightclubs as I guess it could be considered a weapon. Not had to change the batteries yet and its had plenty of use.

Unleash the geek inside you, you won't regret it!
