Just a thought. Instead of cutting the price of coffee in half why don't they just give half the money from their full price coffees to the taxman?

Why wait until they pay taxes to the "black hole" when they r paying "taxes" straight to u... :)

I'v heard that so many times now the first time i laughed so hard i fell off my dinosaur. Seriously tho, somebody posts that remark on every Starbucks deal 8) Unless its you every time? ahha

    It's no joke.
Just people telling you they don't like devious, dishonest, cheating, fantastically rich companies taking us for a ride!
I, will NEVER buy from them.
I also do not use Google, Amazon or Vodaphone and never will.
    I hope.

But you will regularly use this site which makes it's money from people clicking through to buy products from these companies?

Thanks love Starbucks coffee taxman or not who cares

A coffee, with syrup, hot milk, free refill, and free wifi is usually £1.50 at Starbucks (or £1.25 with a flask) ... very reasonable I think, considering the comfortable seating and relaxing environment to get some work done! This brings the price for all the above down to 62.5p!

Makes me chuckle when people rant about how crazy expensive it is for a coffee at Starbucks. Try finding all the above cheaper at any other coffee shop in London.

    Heat added :)

Who cares? Maybe you when your car hits an unrepaired pothole or you can't get NHS treatment because companies like Starbucks choose to deprive the UK of tax revenues.

I guess you don't buy from any company that runs a third world sweat shop. Any product or resource that has been extracted from a third world country for a pittance by taking advantage of corrupt regimes, while providing the people of that country no benefit (coffee, gold, oil, gas, copper, .....)? If every company paid tax on the basis of morality and fairness, I would imagine we'd end up on the wrong end of that revolution. Or perhaps you don't mind devious, dishonest, cheating companies behaving in such a way when it benefits you and oppresses the poorest people in the world.

Personally, as long as they operate within the law, I see their behaviour as no different then someone that regularly does booze/fag runs, to minimise the tax they pay on those products. Its for the exchequer to set tax law appropriately, companies have a responsibility to their shareholders/customers to minimise their costs/prices. Every penny they pay in TAX ultimately comes from their customers and means less going to their staff/reinvestment/suppliers/etc. An extremely large proportion of every penny I spend works its way to the exchequer already, I have no problem with companies avoiding even more going there (yes Starbucks will directly and indirectly contribute significant amounts to the public purse despite minimising corporation tax).
    Big Save!!

Starbucks have agreed to pay £10 million pounds of tax each year for the next two even if they make a loss. Did they have to? No they didn't but only to make **** like you happy. Let me guess you have an iphone, browse google to amazon where you make a purchase. I bet you even flush your s***t down the toilet with tax free water.

Don't you just love all the people with scruples and holier than thou morals and righteousness. Wonder if these are the same people who claim benefit's and get paid cash in hand etc.....!!!

    Thanks OP

It is the government's fault that companies can avoid tax. They need to focus on things like this rather than the pesky stuff we hear on the news.

My vote at the next election will be going towards the clowns that promise to sort it out!

Most importantly my vote for this deal has gone hot

Free refills and coffee for £1.25, NEVER seen this, I live in London and my visits to Starbucks for a black coffee with no frills set me back about £2, depending on the size. On my visits to other Starbucks in the South East, they have similar prices. So what planet do you live in?

NB That the Barclaycard bespoke offers deal is still running, if you'd rather not have the phone restriction. https://www.bespokeoffers.co.uk/consumer/offers/buy-a-10-starbucks-card-egift-for-5-from-bespoke-offers

Alternatively, if you can wait until tomorrow: 5% Topcashback http://www.topcashback.co.uk/groupon/
    or 4% Quidco http://www.quidco.com/groupon/?ac

Who cares if they pay tax, it's the quality of their coffee that's the real crime here.
