Excuse me for asking but is this a little like command and conquer and can it be player vs player over the internet?
#2
You could list the whole catalogue and refer to that code ...
#3
yep could do lol, but i was looking to buy starcraft and found this way to be like £5 cheaper than everywhere else...and yeah, its a bit like command and conquer but far more competitive, pvp being the main feature really.

Probably it's going to be the most important multiplayer RTS in the next 10 years.
This game is going to be epic. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sP1-c5yXGnE

Just ordered, I doubt it'll arrive on the release date but I'm not paying £5 to play a game for a few extra days.. after all I'm still playing the first and I got that over 10 years ago. Voted hot.

#17
Of you can afford the extra check out the collectors edition. Looks like a good set and sold out in the states already. Mine posted yesterday from Game! :)

Beta was quite good, although never got to play single player campaigns on it. Have to say I'll probably wait till the prices comes down a bit more, like Bad Company 2 did.

I'd probably do the same but I'm dashing straight down to get it as PC stock at retail level is shocking (need to trade in 360 titles due to lack of funds...).

I didn't play the original a great deal but I'm trusting the overwhelming opinion that it is excellent.
#22
Yeah - they are expecting a sell out on this - both on standard and limited editions. :)

Yup very nice cut video scenes would have been nice to see actual in game play though, any company can tack on cut scenes to make anything look good.

I haven't bought a game for years but really looking forward to Starcraft 2

Hot, can't find it cheaper anywhere else.
Just ordered, though cant play it until monday in any case! :(
#26
I was going to not order it out of pretest from the lack of a LAN play option, but have caved in and placed my order anyway.

Dont forget 8% quidco cashback too!
#27
Got mine pre-ordered from Shopto.net. Over the world cup they had a "Predict the score" thing and i won £3 credit. Still not as cheap as this from Tesco but it's been dispatched so I can play it tomorrow ;D

love starcraft, but just can't really justify paying £60 for a PC game(may be at a push for a great console game that I love, but PC games should be priced at least 20%-40% cheaper) but do worry about missing out on the collectors edition though...

got burned several times paying top dollar for Collectors editions for games I love (GTA IV, StreetFighter 4) etc, only to find it a few months later the price had dropped more than 50%, with these sales deals appearing here on HUKD.

what the best deal at the moment for SC2 CE?

Zavvi has the best price for the CE - today only. +Quidco. I used game points so got it for less than £50.
#30
Preordered a copy at Gamestation this afternoon. Just hope a local retailer (HMV?) puts this out slightly cheaper as it's going to be £39.99 without a price match :|
#31
Given that this is going to sell bucketloads and will continue to do so for a while yet, this is the best price you're going to get for a while. Plus, it's Activision; remember how long Call of Duty 4 held at the £39.99 mark?
#32
Gaaaaahhhhhhh

Got my dispatch email from Amazon this morning! lol pre-ordered at £35 weeks back and kinda forgot all about it.

Oh well - still burned up about that whole "split into 3 seperate games thing" though...

Terrans being my least favourite I don't know how long until zerg and protoss are gonna be released...
#33
yeah, there will be 2 more games, so 2 more "collectors editions", and may be even a "ultimate final complete mega edition" when all 3 games are out, how much are we going to spend to complete the collection?:(
#34
The engine is made and "they know where they want to go with the story"

That could mean one race per year knowing blizz.
#35
couldnt wait no longer! ordered!! *hot*

You've got to be kidding me! I generally hate expansion packs so that's not what I wanted to hear on the morning of release.
#37
Not any different to command and conquer who were releasing 1 a year ish at pne point. Nothing new really. You have a year to save up :)

The difference being that the main C&C releases don't just feature a GDI campaign...
