This film took my totally by surprise when a friend and I went to see it at the cinema. We sat there with our mouths wide open at what we were seeing. It took a couple more viewings on DVD to really appreciate the film. And steer clear of the sequels: absolute garbage in my opinion.

Top film. I'm waiting for a cheap bluray copy so the shower scene will be in glorious HD.

Good price though.

"StarshipTroopers 3:Marauder" scores better in that department and it's still a decent satire of religion and media manipulation.

/I so hate being a pedant, but If you're gonna use just one word then at least make a stab at getting it right. Otherwise, pad it out with some more stuff to make it less obvious.

/sorry

Me to, it's so, like, whatever.

Just to be a super-pedant, Whicked is in the Urban Dictionary, so it is at least an acknowledged word:

Ha ha. Awesum! ;-)

Great film though and a great price. I never get bored of watching this film. It just has everything! Even though the film shouts "Cheese!" it's done in in such a tongue-on-cheek way, with a few plot developments that are actually interesting and not quite as expected, and then throw in some awesome action, and the fact it never even stops to draw breath, it's just a classic!

First DVD I ever bought... ah, memories... still a classic film and was on TV in the last few days.

H&R!

wasn't it on tv the other night? it's nothing more than a guilty pleasure among sci-fi flicks.

Paul Verhoevens best film is Showgirls... because it mirrors his directorial ability, overstated and over hyped.

Great price for an excellent film.

I still think Robocop is his best movie though.

Really? The film was released in 1997 which presumably would make it a satire on the Clinton administration and their intervention in Mogadishu
That said, good movie and a good deal.

Yeah, but 'fort'? That still troubles me a little.

Anyway, apologies for being pedantic...I guess it was a little bit slow at work, yesterday!

[voted hot btw - ST is a movie you can watch again and again]
