Casper Van Dien, star of Paul Verhoeven's original Starship Troopers, returns after over a decade for this second sequel to the alien-bug-battling, action-packed splatter-fest satire. After the celebrated Johnny Rico (Van Dien), now a colonel, attempts to defend the planet Roku San from some nasty arachnids, he finds himself put on death row for acting inappropriately during battle. But when a Federation starship piloted by tough soldier babe Lola Beck (Jolene Blalock, Enterprise) crashes on a far-away alien planet, only the bug-squashing Rico can save the day--the authorities have no choice but to release him for the mission. Armed with an impossibly advanced weapon known as the Marauder, Rico and his crew are prepared to exterminate by any means necessary. Marauder, written and directed by Edward Neumeier (co-scribe of Robocop and the original Starship Troopers), is a return to satirical form for the Starship series.

This movie is amazing, lol.

Not bad for a pound, but in most cases, people will be crying for their pound back afterwards.

Probably one of the worst films I have ever seen, wouldn't even pay the pound for it!

#7

Terrible film
#8
NO! Not even worth a "1p" that is how bad this film really is, add the extra £2 and get the 1st one!
#9

You couldn't give it to me
#14
I hate to say it , but at least it was faithful to the original novel....
#15
Funnily enough, I enjoyed it. It went back towards the style of the 1st one, very tounge in cheek. Not like the 2nd one, which just plain sucked.

Do you want to know more?

This was the one where Rico was back wasnt it?

the only good bug is a dead bug....

It would've been better without the lord's prayer in it.

There are a lot of very smart people on here, this is one of the WORST films I've ever seen. And I've seen the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still...
Buy the first and obliterate all memory of there ever being any sequels.

this killed the series for me , tried rewatching the first and didnt seem as good anymore

Not worth £1. Avoid at any cost. If it comes on TV, switch it off and watch paint dry instead.

to be honest this is way better than 2nd and damnnear watchable after the low budget crap in the fort that kills the first 30min. hardly a classic but worth a punt IMO, and i still think first was brilliant as it's a send-up as much as an action movie, decent movies featuring colonial marine types are thin on the ground

Because of Neil Patrick Harris :'D
I love the first one but I've not managed to get around to watching any of the others, saying that, these sorts of films never pop up in my local.

Saw this in the Pound store at the Glasgow Fort, I'd say it is worth £1.
Not as good as first film though
