Great deal but the hotel doesn't seem to look like the one in the picture.

Its on Euroway Industrial Estate, Bradford so the pic is a bit misleading. For £29 its great value though.

Why do people continually refer to yorkshire if it were a small village somewhere up north.

York, the Dales and even Scarborough are lovely but an industrial estate? In Bradford? Not quite feeling the heat here, sorry.
#18
Just to add this was originally a Novotel, so much better than the usual Campanile offerings. Good value as a deal for travelling around.

great price to use as a base, 10 minutes away from some fantastic countryside, just like London eh ?

This aint a great deal....

Its the Campanile Bradford just off the M606.

Places to visit...
Locally you have the industrial estate.... B&Q or a Macdonalds at the top of the M606.

10 Mins away from Bristall retail park or 15 mins to White Rose.

50 mins from Trafford Centre.

THERE IS NOTHING locally or places to see or go in the direct area,.

You would be best staying in Leeds, Huddersfield or Halifax.

This is just a cheap corporate hotel for mid week stays with easy motorway links

Check out premier Inns, or B&B;s.

Harrogate, Skipton are nice to visit, York isn't to far and well worth a visit.

Bradford.....Somewhere I've always wanted to visit. Looks lovely in ops photo.

stayed here last time there was a deal. About the same as a travelodge. The breakfast was good. Its handy for when I visit family, but wouldnt pay full price for it. Lat time one bed was comfy and the other was really hard.still, it was cheap compared to anywhere else at the time.

Good deal for a stopover on the way to the 'Dales for a run out .Top of M606 motorway.Outskirts of Bradford centre.I live in a Bradford postcode, the views round here are stunning,We have the 3 Peaks on our doorstep.Gods own County.

This hotel, now called Campanile is what used to be called the Novotel. It is on an industrial estate at the side of the M606. There's nowt much to see in Bradford, bar for their Industrial Museum or the National Film & Photography Museum. When you've said that, you've said everything positive about Bradford. The folk there are pretty miserable, but they're happy being that way.

It must be a rather big doorstep you have in Bradford if either of the Three Peaks are anywhere near you.

We love Campaniles in France. The rooms are ok and they do a fabulous salad and dessert buffet to go with the cooked options.

Ingleborough etc is at least 50 miles for B'ford. It is not on the door step.

What you do have on your door step (5 miles) from the M606 is the location where this movie was filmed..

Stayed there earlier [edited especially for Regdab:- LAST] year when Mrs wanted to go to last night of the proms in Manchester which was only a quick trip over the Pennines via the highest motorway in England. We also went to Knowsley Safari park.
It's located right next to the motorway hubs for Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham etc etc.
It's a very quiet industrial estate, quiet comfortable room and the breakfast was HUGE and at the time before my stomach surgery I could put away a good brekky or three!
Nice bar too thoroughly enjoyed the local "Mild" beer.
We live near Newcastle and someone else from our village was there at the same time and they liked it too and it was on Groupon and Wowcher
The only slight downside was the lift didn't work and we were on the top (3rd floor).
For evening meals you're not far off Bradfords numerous infamous curry houses.

I think the offer is OK if you drive. You don't actually have to go into Bradford, where I lived for about 10 years before moving back down to the soft south. M62 > M606 > hotel. Plenty of places to go within a reasonable driving distance. If the Bradford Bulls are still going their stadium used to be within walking distance of here, IIRC?

Harewood House won't re-open until April but you have Last Of The Summer Wine territory nearby and there are some great restaurants in that part of the country, mainly because house prices are relatively low so they have much more disposable income than most of us soft southerners, although you'd never believe it from the way they moan.

If you like Indian food you could try Prashad in Drighlington. There's also a whole cluster of great restaurants around Halifax, Huddersfield and Holmfirth. Obviously Leeds has some, too. If you have your thermals with you then you could possibly try The Box Tree in Ilkley. Marco Piere White doesn't work there any more but he still has a financial stake in the place.
