I'm not sure about showcasing weapons, on HUKD...
It fires rubber sucker darts. Not exactly what I'd call a weapon.

The Petron hand bow is great fun. Far sturdier and better built than I expected for the price. I bought this as a bit of a joke, for shooting across the living room but what fun! The darts stick quite well to the target supplied on the box, and it is reasonably consistent as far as accuracy is concerned (I shoot about 10 feet from my desk to the target). It will fire a bit further, perhaps 20 feet before losing accuracy (I'm guessing here as haven't shot outside).

My only regret is that the grandkids have now gone home and I've no excuse to keep playing!!

Strange. Are you the Graham of first Amazon review of this item?

If you'd bothered to follow the link and see for yourself it's not exactly used by the SAS !!

Some people on here would comment on toilet paper being made out of paper

Heat added !

These are good fun once you start experimenting with other projectiles. Some of the best we found was a laptop stick of RAM (hurts ALOT) and a small screwdriver which will stick in a wall at 5 yards so go figure on shooting someone with it.

What doesn't work well are knives, back heavy screw drivers, screws, nails and biros.

Can't agree more! And whilst we're at it, let's try and ban water pistols and staple guns. They could have someone's eye out you know!

What's that got to do with a toy crossbow and it's relative merits of being posted on HotUKDeals?

After finding 2 filthy scumbag chavs on my garage roof at 2am Wed morning (having been robbed by them a few months ago) I feel a toy crossbow and some rubber sucker darts are probably the most robust step I can take towards home defence within UK law. Although I'll probably get sued if I leave any of the poor mites with bruises. These don't bruise do they? Might leave a ladder by the fence so they are not inconvenienced upon their exit. I wouldn't dream of using the most powerful legally available semi-automatic Co2 air pistol against them, no sir. Not going to buy one of those, most definitely not going to use one on anyone I see trespassing on my property. :p

Barbed wire? As you know yourself though, if they get cut you'll be liable. Yes crazy. Remember 20 years ago a neighbour cemented broken glass on the wall around their place to prevent people climbing over. Wasn't long before the police came and told them to remove it.
