Theres already a main thread about the Steam Sale in the Top 5 Deals. No pointing starting a brand new one every day and expiring the old.

agree. i bought two games from the first set of deals and since them nothing i liked. I was hoping for some vavle games like the orange box, lfd ect. It would make sense.

Hot!!

Looks like the only outstanding deal is Armoured Princess, RFG and BF2 have both been on offer at those prices elsewhere recently.

In fairness, it's a few different games each day, so posting them each day as a job lot doesn't really ham IMO

I feel the same but I think it runs to Jan 3rd, so I'm hoping we get some better deals in the next week and a bit :)

If you validate your email through the steam client itself I believe they made it pretty much impossible for a 'hacker' to lock you out as anything that's changed only goes to one email that can't be changed without access to that account itself, so as long as the steam password and email password aren't the same it's impossible to lock you out.

A lot of people don't have validated emails or know about it so it's always worth spreading and passing the info on.

Steam > Settings > Validate email > Check your email and confirm.

played a demo of elf bowling it was unbelievably terrible - not worth 1p let alone £1 - but then i wasnt expecting anything else
Kings bounty was rubbish too
#19
But we will miss these sale prices when they are gone.

Yeah because Steam obviously is some kind of big scam and is gonna take your cash and then dissapear.
#21
there is no more of a risk than using online banking/payments ebay...

if you are silly and click on links sent via strange non steam related then you deserve to have your account taken over!! same goes for ebay and banks emails
#22
No idea what risk that guy was talking about, millions of PC users use Steam every day for games, zero risk as far as I'm concerned...
#23
Only thing worth looking at here is Red Faction. If you're a puzzle enthusiast then you probably wouldn't miss your £1.39 for Cogs, but not worth the time for me.
#24
Hot, i have BF2 on disk when it was released but due to over use the cd has become damaged and intermittent. For a few quid plus the expansions this is definitely worth it.

As for the people slating steam - I think your being a bit paranoid. Im a regular user of the steam forums and the few cases that do come up of accounts getting hacked are rectified by proving the account is yours through steam support.
#25
Red faction is a little over £8 and not the 14.99 on the first post

Treated myself to BF2.. HEAT ADDED :D

Hahah yeah right - I went through the con of ea downloader precisely for the same reason and THEY DON'T even offer all their own games through it. ****** want you to pay again for something you already bought.

Check to see if your email confirmation has sent to the junk mail box, I only noticed mine when I happen to be clearing out my mail.

Can I share downloaded games on my two boys PCs? I don't want to pay for them three times.
