Batman: Arkham Knight brings the award-winning Arkham trilogy from Rocksteady Studios to its epic conclusion. Developed exclusively for next-gen platforms, Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile. The highly anticipated addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City. In this explosive finale, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city that he is sworn to protect, as Scarecrow returns to unite the super criminals of Gotham and destroy the Batman forever.

Be the Batman:

Live the complete Batman experience as the Dark Knight enters the concluding chapter of Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy.

Players will become the world's greatest detective like never before with the introduction of the Batmobile and enhancements to signature features such as FreeFlow Combat, stealth, forensics, and navigation.

In this explosive finale, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city that he is sworn to protect, as Scarecrow returns to unite the super criminals of Gotham and destroy the Batman forever.

Introducing the Batmobile:

The Batmobile is brought to life with a completely new and original design featuring a distinct visual appearance and a full range of on-board high-tech gadgetry. Designed to be fully drivable throughout the game world and capable of transformation from high-speed pursuit mode to military-grade battle mode, this legendary vehicle sits at the heart of the game's design and allows players to tear through the streets at incredible speeds in pursuit of Gotham City's most dangerous villains. This iconic vehicle also augments Batman's abilities in every respect, from navigation and forensics to combat and puzzle-solving, creating a genuine and seamless sense of the union of man and machine.

The epic conclusion to the trilogy:

Batman: Arkham Knight brings all-out war to Gotham City. The hit-and-run skirmishes of Batman: Arkham Asylum, which escalated into the devastating conspiracy against the inmates in Batman: Arkham City, culminates in the ultimate showdown for the future of Gotham.

At the mercy of Scarecrow, the fate of the city hangs in the balance as he is joined by the Arkham Knight, a completely new and original character in the Batman universe, as well as a huge roster of other infamous villains including Harley Quinn, The Penguin, Two-Face, and the Riddler.

Really enjoyed this game for ps4 when it was released. Purchased it again recently as I fancy another play through!

Well worth it imo, for anyone unsure

it's a great game, most of its issues were fixed fairly early

Runs very nicely even on my modest hardware :) Haven't had a single problem with it

The bugs were mostly patched. However it still isn't optimised all that well so you do need a fairly powerful PC to play it smoothly. Most notably on W10 it is recommended you have at least 12GB RAM.
#9
Bought thank you. Paid the full £3.49; still obviously hot.
#10
still not a good optimisation so you'll need something beefy to run it on.

SLi was completely broken back when I played it. was running on 2 x 980tis and it would crash constantly and run like a dog. cleared up a fair bit on one card though

Yes, for sure. I originally played it on a 970 which is similar. Ran it on high settings at 1440p and got 60fps+

Just make sure you disable all Nvidia gameworks. These don't run well on any card, even my 1080.

Got 8GB ram and runs very smooth and mostly 60fps though I've had a few crashes/

Just finished replaying this a few days ago - once it had been patched up and as long as you have a decent video card then it's a great and much underrated game (lots of people hate on it due to the release being completely botched).

The main requirement is that the game likes lots of VRAM so the amount of memory on your video card has a lot more to do with smooth running than the card itself (although a good card helps) or having masses of RAM in your system.

I would say anything less than 3-4Gb of VRAM and you're going to struggle unless you turn a lot of graphics features off and lower the resolution. My card is nothing flash (R280X 3Gb) and runs it just fine.

Link appears to be broken for me.

Are you on Windows 10? The recomendation came direct from the devs so I mentioned it. I have no way to test it as I have 16GB. I think it was specifically when traveling quickly the game could stutter, either fast grappling/gliding or in the bat mobile.

I started out with 8Gb and later moved to 16Gb. I saw a small improvement in performance but nothing earth shattering, although subjectively load times felt much improved. I can't imagine 12Gb of RAM being a common scenario as most people jump from 8 to 16 or start with 16.

Does anybody know if each game has a separate Steam key? I have Arkham Knight, City and Asylum, but still haven't played Arkham Origins, so could give away the others to people if the keys are separate.

Switching one card to be a dedicated physx card is supposedly the best way to SLI this game.
Actual SLI doesn't work properly but the game makes heavy use of PhysX so the 2nd card can still be of use to take a big load off the other card.

This deal is just Arkham Knight. The same site has Arkham Origins for £4.99.

Ah sorry, I was looking at the Premium Edition for £6.99. That includes all the games. Didn't actually search for Arkham Origins by itself - thanks!

Fair enough, like I said I don't have first hand experience, I was going off the recommendations from the devs. I dont think they thought people would have 12GB though I think that was just the point they found after which it stops helping.

The premium edition also isn't all the games. It is Arkham Knight and its season pass.

Edit: I stand corrected, according to the page on cdkeys it does include those. However its the first I've heard of it so maybe check elsewhere before buying it. I remember they were offered to people who had bought it while broken but I thought that ended after the patches.

Are you sure? In the product description, I see:

"INCLUDES: Main Game inc all DLC + Season Pass

Also Includes:

* Akrham Asylum GOTY
* Arkham City GOTY
* Akrham Origins inc all DLC and Season Pass
* Akrham Origins Blackgate Deluxe"

Like I said I'm not sure that offer will still work. It's possible they just never changed the description. I had a quick look round and it looks like they were only free up to Dec 2015 when the game was re-released after being taken from sale.

http://www.polygon.com/2015/10/28/9629768/batman-arkham-knight-back-on-steam-pc-rocksteady-free-games

However I just check and its one code. I already owned all the other Batman games so no idea if they would have been added or not if I hadn't.

I think it came from the devs desperation at the time - the game was such a dog at release that I suspect the devs were trying to think of anything that would help performance. IIRC 8Gb was minimum at release and they changed it to 12Gb when people with £200 GPUs couldn't get it to run smoothly. However, the subsequent patches made a huge difference.

At launch, unless you had a fairly specific nvidia card or a very high end AMD one it was truly awful and should never have seen the light of day. It was completely unplayable on my rig which was fairly mid-range at the time.

However, I personally don't think 8Gb is enough RAM for a gaming rig these days. 16Gb seems to be the sweet spot.

8GB isn't enough despite what devs like to put in the recommended specs. Most games are fine with it atm but it is changing. Off the top of my head the one that stands out recently is Just Cause 3. Yes its technically playable with 8 but much smoother with 16

I've just ordered the Premium Edition and can confirm you only get one Steam key - listed as something like Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition (Relaunch Package) - that adds all the games to your library. As I already had Arkham Origins in my Steam library, I've (obviously) not received another instance of it, but all the other games are showing up along with relevant DLC. Hope this helps.

Yep windows 10. This runs even better than Watch Dogs 2 and Deus Ex.

Easily worth the money. I paid something like £20 when it came out and then had to wait several months for the patches. Eventually it was worth it.

That depends on the laptop, there are hundreds of different models. Some more than powerful enough, others not even close to powerful enough. A laptop capable of running this will have been quite an expensive one though.

Get the "Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition PC" and you get everything, the whole lot combined.
That's good value for 6 quid.
#38
Looks like the PREMIUM is not anymore available with all games :( There is no description anymore about others games . Damn it.
