I think it's luck whether it works now. Probably works for more than it used to. I actually played through it on release on my 750ti and X4 860k with no problems at low - medium settings, but one of my friends with a 970 and 5590 (I think) got 10fps no matter if it was on ultra or low which was weird.

This deal gained 25 votes in about 5-10 seconds. Someones been dishonest promoting this broken nvidia crap.

Can anyone give an impartial view on whether this is any good for someone who doesn't just want a game which happens to have Batman in it but wants a game which at least ALMOST lives up to the other Batman games which came before it - or is hoping for a game which comes anywhere near to those really only going to disappoint?

Tonight's Gaming News Flash! Suddenly a 4k BluRay player takes precedence over playing games on a games console!

I played it with a 980ti months back and near the end in the batmobile it was like playing on an ngage! hope they fixed it with £6 for the the game even with the bugs I had as 90% was playable

I find it funny that sites like this increase their prices before discounting them to make it look like a better deal. The Premium Edition (Base + Season Pass) was £8.88 yesterday. It is now £9.99 to make this price for the game and season pass separately look like a better deal.

Don't get me wrong it is a good price for the hours of content you are getting, but this now common practice wears a bit thin after a while.

Most of the issues which got a lot of press (rightly so imho) have been fixed it runs well on most systems. The issues completely over shadowed the fact this actually a decent game, up there with the other two imho. I'd place it as good as AC but not quite up there with AA. So yes it isn't just another game with Batman in, its a proper Arkham game which is up there with the other two titles in the series in terms of quality.

To backup my opinion take a look at the overall stats for the steam reviews. "Recent: Very Positive". Shows that they have worked hard to address the issues and now they have been ironed out the actual quality of the title is easier to see.

This is a superb price. The base game is excellent, and whether or not it lives up to the first two is going to be heavily dependent on whether you enjoy the batmobile sections. Personally, I did, once I got used to the controls. But the best part of this deal is the season pass. The combat encounters, with all the characters you can use, are worth it alone. Heat heat heat!!!

A couple of disabled settings on my PC and it ran great (can't remember which off the top of my head), 3770k & GTX 970 & 16GB RAM.
It crashed every so often but the game auto saves frequently so I must have spent maybe 30-45 mins total, re-doing certain parts because of crashes. That was at launch (the week after it came out). I imagine that would be largely improved by now.

But yeah - Fantastic game, loved every minute of it! Definitely recommended to anyone.

Played through this recently and it ran just fine on a 1080. Good game, bargain.

For £6 it's worth getting, especially if you enjoyed the previous games in the series.

I recall this being very poorly optimized to the point of being unplayable. this was after the first patch.
Wondering if its now playable. shame there's no demo.
I don't suppose you can get a refund within 2 hours as its a steam key?

Steam refunds only work for games purchased direct from the Steam store. Keys are not covered. There is therefore a trade off between the cheap price of keys and the fact it's harder to get a refund.

Still it is better than it was a year or so ago!

If you have a decent PC running at a normal resolution like 1080p then you'll be fine.

Seems to be getting better reviews of late so bought. Fingers crossed.

I really enjoyed it - at least as much as AA and AC and certainly more than AO. As someone else said, it may depend on what you think of the Batmobile sections. Contrary to a lot of people I enjoyed them and thought they made a good job of integrating it into the game rather than just treating it as novelty. I played it through on an R9-380X and it was fine.

I can confirm it plays much smoother now. looks better to in my opinion. seems to have a clearer image. you do Need to have 3GB video ram to play on normal setting so keep that in mind.
