LOL a 'crappy deal' gets heat?
#5
Awesome deal, just bought the Monkey Island bundle - bargain! :)

Have some heat.
#6
I know Batman has been cheap before, but still hot!!!
#7
Personally I think CoD MW2 for £19.99 is a bargain. Tropico 3 is another good shout!

If you have plenty of spare time, the X superbox would also be worth a look (Great games, just very time consuming and high learning curve!).

Pretty crappy deals, but thanks for listing anyway.

Dunno why some are giving these deals such a hardtime.. Flatout series for less than 3quid? and Batman AA for £3.75.. Sounds hot to me!

I would the Monkey Island games but hate Steam with a vengeance. Refuse to use anything that forces me to sign up for an account, requires an internet connection to play a game etc.
Had a hell of a job with Fallout: NV when my connection was down for 4 downs and it refused to let me play the game I physically owned as it could check the serial number etc with Steam (and this makes the game unsellable once its finished with).

dragon age ultimate edition is actually cheaper on the ea store if you use the 25% off voucher code(if it works for you, was still working when I checked couple of hours ago).

50 to 92% off tons of games and people still moan. Morons of the internets unite!

I thought if your net connection was down you could sign in offline?

It's the future of gaming (unfortunately).

Getting Arkham Asylum.
Not really intereasted in car chases, but 50p ?
Maybe at that price
The feller that says they're crappy deals has a point though - a lot of them have been STILL way over the price you can get the games at the bargain houses like The Hut, etc. Some I wouldn't buy if they were a TENTH of the price being asked.
#26
Has FlatOut or FO: Ultimate Carnage a split-screen mode for PC?

Can I play FlatOut 2 (bought @ Steam) on-line against my friend who has a physical copy of the game?
#27
I suppose the deals themselfs are good but not many games I would consider buying, Not played the original fallouts so i suppose this would be a good oppertunity!

Heat added.

True, but a lot of the games at The Hut, Play etc are more expensive than Steam games. It's Swings and Roundabouts - Steam's never going to be the cheapest for everything, even when the items are on sale.

Can't seem to get excited about the Xmas Steam Sale this year. I'm sure is was better last year.

x superbox worth getting?

I'd go for batman arkham asylum goty but I already have the standard edition on ps3. bought monkey island 2 se when it was on sale as already 'have' the 1st one, should have waited and got the bundle.

I've got Battlefield Bad Company 2 for £6.79, Overlord Complete Pack for £2.25 earlier today before it changed to the deals in this thread and I also got the King Arthur pack for £3.74. I really can't complain about the steam sale so far. I also got J.P.Winterbottom for 0.39p which is cracking for that little money.

Batman Arkham Asylum is a bargain. COD 2 MW2 isn't a bad price at £19.99 as COD games hold their value for way too long. The Flatout series of racing games are good fun and a no brainer for the price in today's sale if you like car games.

Sigh, every time there's talk of Steam... Just in the hope that a few more people understand, Steam does not require you to be online to play a game. Some games have that requirement, but it's nothing to do with Steam as a platform. You can go into offline mode and play quite happily. Steam is great. Rebuild your PC, select the games you want, wait whilst they download, job done. No more lost installation discs, no shelf space required. Can't argue with the resale point, but then I never got around to selling on physical copies either.

Wow, that's cheeky - Civ 5 is £22.49 now, but it was £19.99 yesterday. Nice sale- price has actually gone up.
#36
Flatout Ultimate Carnage should be in every gamers collection. Well, if you're a fan of fun racing games, that is. Unbelievably good value at £1.70.
#37
Nothing in there for me.
#38

Is Crysis any good? Am usually a ps3/xbox gamer, but figure my latop might be able to run this?

Worth me trying or should I save the money and put towards a console FPS?
