I get annoyed by people who vote these Steam deals cold. There are some great prices here, like £6.25 for GTA IV Complete, which I'd buy if I didn't already have it!

If you don't like Steam, find somewhere else to complain.

Link takes me to Halo Reach?

Tempted by Europa. Nearly bought that a few times in the deals but I'm just worried that it will be too boring vs Total War for example.

Hot! GTA is a steal (pun intended), my PC wont run it though.

Need for speed is also on sale £17.99

Ruse and need for speed are cheaper at amazon. i prefer steam but there isn't anything on that list for me today.

YOUR whingeing is far more tedious, mate.
Ive spend quite abit on the Steam sale, and there IS a lot of poor deals, and the occasional class deal
Hardly good enough to be banning criticism !:p

Some good deals there. Grabbing GTAIV for sure and will pick up Left 4 Dead 2 as a gift (£3.74 if you own the first Left 4 Dead). Intrigued by Shatter, Hegemony and Europa too. They look intriguing and can't go far wrong at those prices.

Ooooh, I'd hoped The Singularity would drop a little further.

Shatter is fun :)

Gta is a great price, got the rockstar pack back before the summer though so no need for it :( Once again some good prices but today I already have everything I want.

Singularity looks my kind of game but £9.99 is a bit too high. Will wait until the mid year sale.
#11
Speaking of whinging i spent 60 quid so far and the wife is whinging she hasnt seen me since.
Irony is that when she does see me all she does is - you guessed it- whinge.

To be fair to steam they have put out 15 games a day at heavily reduced prices.
Even if theres only a couple on there you like its still amounts to hundreds of hours of game play for a few quid. Compare that with money spent in the cinema or a night out, or if you had bought the game new a year ago at full price.

They have set the standard too high before but only so many new games coming out they can do a deal on.

HOT! The GTA4 price is awesome.

Singularity is a great game its loads of fun. It slipped under the radar a bit and wasn`t promoted as much as it should have been. Well worth £9.99 Read the review

Despite owning them already, I'm actually tempted by GTA IV Complete.
The Games For Windows login and disc check on the retail releases drive me insane.

I tried installing EFLS on my SSD last week and was astonished by the improvement. Looks like most of the performance issues were down to streaming data from the storage device. Shame it takes up such a large chunk of precious space...

You still have to (or you used to) login to windows live even with the steam versions. Also I agree 15gb each hurts.

Edit: Also this makes me laugh and cry at the same time http://www.steamcalculator.com/

HOT!

Shame I've already spent a small fortune on Steam this month, or I'd buy a few more.

Can Xbox Live achievements be earned on GTA 4 complete on Steam?

I've got both GTAIV and the DLC on steam separate, and it is annoying how it is 2 15gb installs. I got GTAIV in last years xmas sale actually and have yet to play it, so would have been better off waiting I guess :D

Now if these companies just figured out that these prices make piracy pointless everyone would be very happy

If I go through the Steam application to view the store page it says under GTA IV 'NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR REGION' and I can't buy it.

If I go through the UK webpage, it's there.

My exotic location is: the Isle of Man. I told them about this six years ago.

£1.75 for Shatter is a bargain of the decade! Fantastic game! The music alone is worth the original price of £6.99.
#23
Had to get the GTA offer. Too good to miss.

Im wondering if I should get left 4 dead 2 or wait and see if they reduce the valve pack further? Do you think they will or is 24.99 the lowest its going to go, will it rise from 24.99?

#26

So it looks like the main benefits will be a much smaller installation and I won't have to keep connecting my external DVD drive.
Can't believe I have to buy them again for this 'privilege'. This would actually be my third purchase as I also had them on 360 before PC.

Okay, here's the dealbreaker: Does the Complete Edition include Vice City FM and other stations that were exclusive to the retail release of EFLC? I can't find an answer anywhere...

It was briefly £14.99 when the sale launched. Possibly a misprice, or perhaps it was available in limited quantities. Might be back at the end of the sale but nobody knows.

GTA4 is a good deal. So is L4D2. I have both these games already though, meh.

It's the same in the movie and the music industries. Charge a reasonable price and guess what, there is no POINT in pirating anything. Some people want stuff for free but the vast majority of us just want to feel like we're not being fleeced when we buy something.

I just spent £22 on games today - GTA IV, Elder Scrolls IV, Rome Age: Gold and Hegemony.

Grabbing GTA4, thanks OP. Heres a little heat.

I bought the gtaiv expansion pack(episodes from liberty city) for £6.80 end of november, if I'd waited a month could have got the complete edition for cheaper. reason I bought the expansion pack was I already ha the original game on ps3, but for this price(£6.25) would haven got this :(

already have l4d2, got the l4d bundle(with both games) fo £7.81 back in october, have oblivion but non-goty version so is it worth getting that(not played it since I got it(in 2006) tho, been meaning to)? the deluxe version with additional dlcs is £2.50 more worth it?
#35
How about the transformers game...ign rates it high... looks pretty decent, cant find it any cheaper.
anyone played it?

Played it on the 360 and it's a solid FPS, a little 'generic' in parts but good solid fun (I can't comment on the PC version directly but I guess it will be very much the same game).

"Knights of the Nine" and "Shivering "Isles" in the GOTY edition add a lot of gameplay beyond the orginal core mission (I've not even touched Shivering Isles yet). The deluxe edition adds a mixture of further stuff - whether it is worth it depends on your play style - Horse Armour is fairly useless, the various "lairs" can be handy if you want some resupply areas / more reason to spend money in game / the ability to cure vampirism easily. "Spell tomes" can be handy and "Mehrunes Razor" is a reasonable high-level mini quest, if less fleshed out than the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine.

yeah, but there's no black OPs offer though :D

Now that arsewipe on the intial post can shut his piehole as the transfomers game is a good buy.

nothing here for me today, my wallet breathes a sigh of relief. maybe i can get around to playing some of the ones i own.

other than the wargames doubt there is anything here you can't get similar or cheaper retail, GTA is the only good deal.
