Another Deus Ex sale, blimey Steam sales seem to love to repeat themselves this year

Although the new game does look sexy

Cool, I loved Deus Ex and always nice to play it again :D H&R added.

Great deal, I never really played the second one. I remember I never had a good enough graphics card to play it at the time and couldn't get along with it on the console using a normal controller. I heard it wasn't great, but still worth a try.

Worth it for the first game alone... what a game. As long as your not fussed about the dated graphics, it really is a fantastic game, and well worth £3. Hawt.

The 2nd one isn't that good but I've just bought it as it's so cheap. It will run on a ION powered netbook so I can play at work.

Bought This :)

Absolute bargains, pretty much the inventors of the moral choice FPS.

The third looks sexy as hell, cannot wait!

Thanks, just bought the first one, I was 13 when I first played it and even then I realised how deep a game it was, and how completely open ended it was in terms of pursuing your objectives. The second one lacked that depth so I remember I got bored very quickly. DE1 should run fine on my nc10 :)

for those of you buying.... may be worth checking out these mods

H&R.

Already got the first one somewhere, wondering if i should buy it again as I'm not sure the original CD version works with Windows 7. Anyone know?
#14
I'd say buying the first for £1.50 is worth it just for the convenience of having it on Steam.
#15
Ahh, the good old days of Deus Ex and System Shock.
#16
When did this come out, is it still a good play? Is it up there with Unreal Tournament i.e a classic?
#17
Wish I could get surround sound working - downloaded these this morning. The first is brilliant.

Deus Ex - brilliant game

Deus Ex: Invisible War - abomination

It was a good game though :)

I bought these the last time they were on Steam to re-play - dated graphics but great story and game. First one is better than the second, but, both worth playing I think, especially at this price!

Alright smart arse, what I wanted to know is am I going to play this and think what a load of ****. On Steam it the release date for the game of the year edition is 2007 and I didn't play it first time round.

I thought half life was **** at the time, and wouldn't pay £1.49 for it now and that was my point, I don't want to buy a Half Life type game no matter how cheap it is.
Played the original Unreal Tournament last week and thought it had aged really well, a lot better than that terrible Sniper game that steam had on offer!

Despite being essentially a FPS Deus Ex is hugely different to Half Life. Both great games, in my opinion... so that's not going to help you make you choice up.

Yes it does. I`m running Win7 64 bit without any issues. Though I would recommend the DX10 mod. Works fantastically, been playing this for the last week or so.

Don`t forget to patch first before playing

Have to admit, I didn't really like the Unreal series of games apart from the original. Was more of a Quake fan.

Deus Ex is a great game, perhaps not as great as Half Life but very good none the less

Agreed, first one is outstanding. Just avoid the second at all costs.
