I'm pretty sure they are, or at least were available for free legally through Rockstar. Still, I like the fact that they're in this package, just for the convenience.
#10

When Steam comes to Mac you won't have these titles. Valve are bringing Steam and some of their game catalogue to Mac, not every game on the Steam network. Expect Half Life: Source, Half Life 2 + EP1&2, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Portal and Portal 2 (when it's launched).

However, for future reference it is possible to buy games through Steam's website rather than through the Steam program. So, if you see good deals on games that are being ported it is possible to get them now and then they'll be ready for you when Steam for Mac launches.

Would just like to point out that only Valve produced games (initially) will work on the Mac version of Steam. Games like these GTA games are not going to be compatible and never will, the masses of non-Valve games which are on Steam won't be available, unless the developers have the resources to produce a Mac port. Which in turn leaves me slightly surprised that Valve hasn't gone down the emulation route, as it would have offered a more generic solution. I'd guess that the decision was made on legal, not technical grounds!

yeah steam 4 hour deals.
#22
Many thanks:thumbsup:
#23
Can the nvidia 8400gs manage these games?

This is not the retail expansion for the 1st game which was '69, but a freely distributed mission pack for it. It requires the London '69 expansion to play which in turn requires the first game.
#28
Ah well, was gonna stay away from steam deals, but nope.

Great deal, bought GTA3, VC and SA (XBOX) to play on the 360 a few months back as I've been unable to get into GTA4 properly, just don't like it.

GTA3 was a game i've never finished (used to have it on the PC) and it's horrible on a console, it's not got the proper free movement you'd usually have. Vice City is based on the same engine and never quite got into that(got the PSP equivalent too). San Andreas on the other hand is the best game of all time . Sold my XBOX 1 copy and rebought it for 800 MS points

Well tempted by this to be honest but not sure what would work on a macbook with gma3100

And d'oh I've missed it, £16.99 now

OH FFS! 4 MINUTES LATE!

Now up to £30 :( Gutted!
#31
Managed to still get it. Cheers OP!
#32
Just bought it, offer is still alive
#33
FFS, tried to buy 3 times but kept declining my debit card. No idea why?

Offer ended now :(
#34
i tried 5x with two different cards and it delined, from 20 past to half past. Damn steam got me up and out of bed for nothing!!
#35
I think if you spam to much, Steam disabled you purchases as one of the guy told me it on their support reply

Too late for this deal, but for future reference I use 'Can You Run It?' as a guide to which games I can play on my laptop.
