Looks good to me. Not sure why this is getting cold.

Hot for me, already own Super laser :( though £10 for 6 games especially look nice on pic (some!)
#4
well i would not have any incentive to buy the pack only saving 4 quid on indie games that i most likely wouldn't want...and i do know that super laser racer has been on offer for a while anyway...but for £2 a game its worth looking at buying 1 or 2 in my opinion (i have not looked yet so don't know which two :D)
#5
Gridrunner Revolution ftw!
#6
Great stuff - Bought the full pack.

Gridrunner has only been out a few days....
#7
ok, after having a look at trailers and reading bios i think:

Altitude looks awesome
Bob came in pieces looks alright- worth buying as 5th game to get 2 free (i.e. worth the 70p)
Bullet Candy looks pretty crap
Galcon fusion looks alright same as bob game
Gridrunner looks alright (i suppose)
Space giraffe i don't have a bloody clue!
Super Laser Racer looks good

obviously i have only looked at at not played any- but gridrunner and bullet candy seem similar to geometry wars and i not too keen on that

problem is of the 7 games this gives me reason to buy 2 for certain, 3 which seem alright then the other two could be free- so do i buy all 7 or just the good 2...any advice?
#8
can anyone tell me if any of these games are any good?

I'll vouch for Altitude! It's like Counterstrike with wee planes - sort of! Great fun and a bargain. Great developer support too.

Seem a mistake has been made in your mathematics, Altitude, Space Giraffe, Gridrunner+++ and Bob Came in Pieces are all usually £5-7 each, Gridrunner is only out a few days. They are reduced to £2 for this promotion. So by buying the pack you are saving much more than £4. 60% off some games and people complain that buying them all saves another 30% odd, how dare steam put an offer on top of another offer. http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/624020/steam-deal-indie-games-sale-2-each-/images/smilies/whistling2.gif

This is a great deal, pack has bit of something for everyone but if not a fan of shooters picking up the one or two that looks interesting is well worth it. I'm a big fan of Bobs Came in Pieces and Altitude. Galcon Fusion is a lot more action orientated than it looks, more like Risk than a full blown strategy game.

i meant you save four quid if you buy the pack together rather than all separately at current price, not at usual price...hence you save 4 quid overall so you need to want most of them to be worth buying pack...unlike many other steam deals where it so cheap for a pack if you want one of them it worth it to get a pack

Ok, for folks who don't know these games I thought I should post some summaries here because you can really miss out otherwise :)

Altitude - Counterstrike/MW2, but with planes. Lots of upgrade features and great fun. You can play a demo at http://altitudegame.com/ .

Bob Came In Pieces - A physics puzzle game. You have a ship, you fly around and use it to push or manipulate objects. You can find new bits for your ship and add them wherever you like, so you can have engines wherever you like, fire in any direction, etc. Demo at http://ludosity.com/games/bob-came-in-pieces/ .

Bullet Candy - 2D Crimsonland type mouse-and-keyboard shooting game. Pretty good, but a rather odd inclusion, because the same developer's written several upgraded versions since. Demo at http://www.charliesgames.com/wordpress/?page_id=3

Galcon Fusion - Similar to Eufloria; it's a resource allocation strategy game. Actually, it was pretty much the first game with that particular design and has managed to keep the innovation rate up. Demo at http://www.galcon.com/fusion/ .

Gridrunner Revolution - Ok, this one's _awesome_. It's a shoot-em-up, but mouse-only (rather than mouse and keyboard) and with a really interesting artistic bullet mechanic where you can position yourself to make patterns with your bullets which not only kill things but increase your score, too. Huge fun. Demo at http://lsshop.s3.amazonaws.com/GRRevPCSetup118.exe .

Space Giraffe - The ultimate "love it or hate it" game. Essentially it's a 3D rail-based shooting game, but the trick is that it actually uses techniques to mess up your perception of the game so that you have to learn to see screens in a different way - viewing the whole screen, listening for sound triggers, etc. It's a fascinating idea, and it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if it is it'll probably be the most unique game you'll ever play. Demo at http://lsshop.s3.amazonaws.com/SpaceGiraffeSetup.exe .

Super Laser Racer - I've only played this one briefly. It's a minimalist racing game with weapons. Quite fun, but some of the weapons are a bit unbalancing. The level editor's a nice touch, though. Demo at http://www.newstargames.com/slr.html .

Altitude is the most addicting game i've played since PvZ, well worth it for the Wetherspoons pint you'd otherwise buy :p

Thanks OP! Heat and Rep added, great deal.

I'm gonna buy the whole pack for 2 reasons; Because these games all looks pretty cool and because I want to support these awesome indie developers for breathing new life into games without the use of overpopulated development teams and the like.

Oh and nice post hyphz, have some rep!

Thanks for the post, hyphz. Would have ignored this deal otherwise because I hadn't heard of any of the games but the descriptions + demos sound pretty awesome.
#18
From the 20 minutes I've played, Galcon Fusion looks like a great little game!
#19
Purchased - worth £10 for 7 games. Hot.
#20
Bought this and had a go at all 7. Alttude is a great wee game. Galcon is fun, same with Super Lazer Racer. The rest kind of suck.

I'd advise people to buy Altitude for £2, forget the rest.
