Deals from 6pm UK time today (Dec 28th) until 6pm UK time tomorrow (Dec 29th) are as follows:

1. IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 £9.99 to £4.99 (50% off)

2. Doom Complete Pack (6 games) £19.99 to £4.99 (75% off)

3. Global Agenda £19.99 to £4.99 (75% off)

4. Operation Arma II Arrowhead £19.99 to £9.99 (50% off) (*£7.99 if you own Arma II)

5. Rush £4.49 to £1.18 (66%) off)

6. Mount & Blade Complete Pack £29.99 to £7.49 (75% off)

7. Section 8 £7.99 to £1.99 (75% off)

8. Crysis Games 75% off (which makes Crysis £2.49 and Warhead £4.24, or £6.24 for both)

9. Sim City 4 £9.99 to £2.49 (75% off)

10. King's Bounty Platinum Edition £29.99 to £7.49 (75% off)

11. Lost Horizon £19.99 to £9.99 (50% off)

12. Colin McRae Dirt 2 £14.99 to £3.74 (75% off)

Bit of a mixed bag there. The Crysis games stand out if you haven't bought them already. Doom Complete and Sim City 4 are perhaps worth a punt, too.

Yeah I'm thinking maybe for the Doom Pack. I bought ARMA II last week in the offer, not had a chance to install yet but thinking about getting Arrowhead if I get it for the lower price.

Agree with the above - a poor selection today, and not good prices.

At Very High detail with no AA or AF you'll get around 16-30fps from the benchmarks I've looked at. It'll be perfectly playable at a mixture of medium and high as long as the resolution isn't crazy high.

I got as far as signing in with paypal, then Steam crashed.

It says they are having probs and can't process my order?! Then when I go to buy it, it says I own it, then when I go to play it, it says it's processing....arrrggghhh!

I originally tried via paypal but had an error and didn't get chance to click confirm.

Tried by visa and immediatly said it had an error.

okay, I just signed up and ordered the crysis and doom packs. I cant play them untill I build my new pc though. I also want to get " left 4 dead 2 " or a pack. Im wondering if I should maybe get the valve pack, but I wondering if it might come up cheaper soon, plus I already have " the orange box " on the xbox 360, but since I chipped my xbox 360 I cant go online any more as I might get banned. Do people still play the valve games online, its free on pc isnt it?

Also has left 4 dead 2 been available for less than £7.49 before on steam?

Much cheaper just a month or two ago, I personally got it for £3.74 in the summer. It will be a daily deal before the end of the sale I expect.

Crysis for £2.50p..........it would be a crime NOT to buy it.

already have crysis, got crysis warhead in the ea christmas sale for £3.74, got dirt 2 in january for £14.99(had been reduced by 50% if I recall).

looking at the doom pack(tho have doom 3, but looking at the expansion pack says you need the steam version so wouldn't be able to use it with the disk version), section 8 and simcity 4 tho not sure if I should as have already ~£70 in the steam sale so far over the last week almost £90 if you include the ea sale(bfbc2 digital deluxe, crysis warhead and mass effect pinnicle station £18 something).

Yeah L4D2 was around £3 when I picked it up during one of the sales, and the Valve pack was around £15 at one stage for every Valve game, though they bumped the price to £25 soon after.

The Valve games are still very popular online, go here to see the stats for who is playing what now on Steam http://store.steampowered.com/stats/

Not a surprise to see CS:S top as usual.

Having a blast playing through Quake - will happily move onto Doom when I'm done.

is section 8 worth 1.99

heard its not brill but might be worth a punt for some, may leave it as have tons of games, will get crysis (i already have warhead tho)

would go for arma2 expansion but price incorrect for me as should be £7.99 not £9.99 - contacted steam will wait

No point buying L4D2 or the Valve pack now. It may come up cheaper in one of the daily deals, so wait until it does or until the last day whichever happens first.

the steam sale has been posted many times no need to post the daily deals

not when I bought it back in january, but thanks any way for pointing that out ;)
also it's £3.74 at the moment not £3.75
#34
I think Section 8 and Global Agenda are bargains.
#35
Already own Sim City 4 but have got it again for the convenience of having it in Steam. I used to say I hated digital distribution but I have now got around 40-50 games on Steam, mostly due to weekend deals. Steam rocks.
#36
bought crysis pack, sim city 4 from steam

and bought Il-2 from gog.com !!

For those interested in saving a few more pennies, the euro prices for some packages are less than pound sterling.

I brought the Crysis pack for 4.99€ (£4.36), rather than the UK advertised price of £6.24. It's only a small saving but I do it out of principal.

To do so, I used a Swedish proxy and paid by paypal.

We'll agree to disagree - finding one new post with each days deals on suits me fine. Also makes the heat relevant.
