Setup is easy. Just connect your Steam Link to your TV and home network, where it will automatically discover any computer running Steam. All that’s left to do is grab your favorite controller, kick back, and enjoy your collection of games from the comfort of your couch.

Performance
Steam Link is designed to take advantage of the horsepower you already have in your home, streaming from your current gaming computer by mirroring its experience to your TV. Video and audio data is sent from your computer to the Steam Link, while your controller input is sent back in real time. Virtually every game that your computer runs can be played on your TV using Steam Link.

Really tempted to get this as a stocking filler to myself.

I think the OWNERS OF HUKD should buy it for you, you've posted 466 deals in ten years of membership, 46 deals per year! Think of the sale commission/links!

As I leave my pc on all the time for Plex anyway, this is just a steal to me.

It means I can play all my emulated games downstairs with the nipper! None of this modern rubbish with no point to completion. All about mario, banjo kazooie and pokemon snap!

Another £45 down on stuff I didn't realise I needed until Hotukdeals told me...

1 drill.
Upto 15M of HDMI, and USB cable/repeaters.

No performance impact on host or network.
No compatibility issues.
No additional latency.
Lower power usage.

Hot for the price, but it's a cludge product IMHO.

Also worth noting the steam controller is £27.99 from GAME - difficult to find cheaper and just ordered one myself!

Tempting - I suppose I can leave my laptop upstairs and play games off it just by connecting this to the telly?

I was suprised at how well this works, even on wifi for me it was great

i keep considering this but unsure on its advantage since the pc will be on and running it anyway...so the pc is not usable by someone else and im using the tv as well so no one can use that

Cex have dropped their buy/sell price too, I'd imagine they've had an influx of them since the last £15 deal from Game.

Good price, might get one to keep this time.
Are they releasing another model or have these just sold poorly?

Wifi on this is rubbish, unless you are fine with downgraded image quality and lag..

It's really good so long as you have a decent network connection. I use it with some 1.2Gb Netgear powerline adapters and I get very good quality and very little artefacting.

Great product, I used to stream to my Nvidia Shield TV, but this is just more reliable and easier to get working. It streams 1080p fine over wired gigabit. I've used a mixture of xbox 360 wired controllers, wireless with a dongle, xbox one S controller over bluetooth, get the beta build to use the latter without issues. It's also built and packaged really well a quality item. Bought a second for upstairs.

If you have a laptop you can stream games from your gaming PC to it just like the Steam Link if you wanted to avoid using the TV

Does this still work if your PC is off? Or does the PC need to be on for this to play games? Like can I play one game on my PC while someone else plays another on the TV through this?

It streams games from your PC, so yes it does need to be on.

Steam had it for sale recently at the same price, but with 7.40 delivery. Thought £23.39 was still a great deal because I didn't think Game would ever stock it again let alone for that price!

Ordered - thanks OP :)

Great device via an ethernet cable/powerline adaptor.

I certainly wouldn't use it for something like Rocket League or anything requiring instant reactions.
I've got a hardwired network between my PC and Shield TV, although the latency is bearable it's simply too high for serious play.

Price for this is great though, give it a go!

It's very good with gigabit ethernet, in the stream link settings you have fast balanced or beautiful for steam settings

Play rocket league regularly on it with no latency issues.

mines fine using homeplugs or even the wifi :) black ops 3 , rocket league etc i get no lag or anything and hold my own as good as if on the pc. thats even on the highest settings. ive seen others with issues as well but i know it works fine for many like myself as well :) at this price its worth trying if you think you would use it. sadly mine doesnt get enough use :(
