This game was either a greenlit project, a kickstarter, or other such indy funded nonsense. Please note that £0.79 is not a discount, but £0.79 is a fantastic deal for what has to be a top 5 game to gift to a loved one.
I have gifted this several times, and my favourite folks to gift to are live twitch streamers asking "What should I play?" (or any other way the opportunity presents itself). When I tell them I will gift them one of the best Steam games of the 21st century and follow with this, both the reactions of the streamer and of the audience is worth much more than the measly 99 cent investment. Perhaps this is what the devs had in mind, and if so... mission accomplished!
Plus, the game is kind of fun!
