I can't work out if this is an error to be honest guys (well, how could I know) but it seems to be an historical low on the game by around a good £5 which is uncharacteristically weird for Humble. Not that their bundles aren't awesome, but their sales are standard.

Bit annoyed actually as I paid £24 last week lol

Decent price, can someone say are there online players and how interesting is online component of game. I want other to eat my dust so I am asking...

There is online, it's all I've ever played. I tend to enjoy the long practice sessions on the Green Hell, usually in a Radical or Atom v8. You have to watch out for morons knocking you off though, they just can't handle being overtaken. At this price it's a no brainer.

There was 1,156 players online as of 15 minutes ago [Steam Charts]. I like the online part of PC, that said I play it on PlayStation 4. Be warned though, Project CARS is brutal :D

How does it play with a controller?

How does it play with a controller?

I found it difficult to be honest. Then I got a G29 wheel and the game totally transformed for me. It went from being frustrating to becoming an enjoyable challenge.

Will go for this at this price. Hot

Come on Humble Bundle, how long does it take for my account verification code? Itching to get downloading and playing.

I have this on ps4, would this play and look better on a PC with a 3570k @ 4.2ghz, a 4gb r9 290 and 16gb ram.

I have a wheel but it is only the Thrustmaster GT experience.

It would play wonderfully, im currently playing on a 970 and 4570, 16gb ram. With a g920 and a oculus rift! SO MUCH FUN

Surely that was the GOTY edition which contains plenty of extra content. Don't feel too bad about it :)

I'm using 360 wireless pad and I do quite well. You won't be able to compete with the best players using good wheels, also using pad takes a lot of focus, but it's still awesome fun. I've done a 6:32 on Nords in Radical rx8 using pad.

Thanks OP, I've ordered it. Should be fun on the Vive.
#16
Nice price, tempted, but think I'll hold off while I have this POS comp. Thanks for sharing though, heat.

Thanks will get this for my birthday :)
#18
Nice price. I have ordered. Many thanks

Anyone else not got their key Sent through yet? Usually I get them almost straight away.

Easily. The problem with the console version is that they struggle to maintain 60FPS and have a bunch of tearing, even the latest patched up versions, and there isn't a lot you can do about it. Ps4 is better than Xbox One, but with PC, you can easily get a locked 60FPS with that system and tailor your settings.

You should get high/some ultra and a solid 60FPS @ 1080p

Think I'll wait out for the GOTY edition.
I thought it was that and almost checked out, I think it's misleading how they have a limited edition and a GOTY edition, the image used made me think it was the GOTY with all the extra tracks and so fourth. I'll wait too, this isn't that good a price for the bog standard edition with 5 extra cars. Circuits are what it's all about with this game anyway...
#27
Great deal. Cars is awesome.
#28
Ordered - thanks for sharing. Heat added ;-)
#29
bargain, might have to finally grab it
#30
thanks ordered and heat added

Hopefully they have an upgrade to GOTY edition on steam soon

Having been a team member+, i can confirm this is a good game. Never played with pad but fanatec wheel is fun. I wish WMD still paid out. I think i got 2 or 3 dividend payments out of them. Was pleasantly surprised i profited £20-£30 for early access and having the privilege of playing for years before release. We should have a HUKD race once everyone has bought this...

"playable via Oculus Rift and 12K Ultra HD resolution"

What? Meaningless statement.

In terms of racing games, and comparable racing games, how well does Project Cars hold up against them?

The price seems excellent.

As long as you aren't too hung up on having a heavily structured career mode, it's one of the best racers around. It's only really ported to consoles so you are much better off with the PC version if you have a reasonably modern machine. It's most rewarding with a wheel, but even with a pad it's really playable.

Visually on PC if you have enough performance to turn everything on and a nice resolution, it looks sweet. Driveclub looks a bit more polished, but it's only 1080p and 30FPS. If you can manage 2560 x 1440 and 60FPS on this with mostly ultra (you need a 980ti, 1070 etc), it is superb. Better looking than Assetto Corsa for example.

Driving games are something missing from my repertoire of games. I have a PC and a PS4, Gran Turismo Sport now looks like vapourware on the PS4 so it's time to ramp up things on the PC and have a go with this game.

I believe it would look better. I don't have this on PS4 but I do on PC. I have a R9 290 as well and I get 60fps on high settings on 1080p. I can even push it on 2k but the frames drop to about 40fps.

Seems I'm the only one that thinks this game is utter rubbish. Just no realism at all.

Looks lovely, drives awful.

What are you playing it on?

I'm using a Logitech G29 wheel & pedals on PC, granted it's a lot different when played on controller, but actual feel and realism using the wheels/pedals is the closest I've ever tried, and I do a lot of real life track time.
