Thanks much. :)

Just got Poker Night. Meh the poker, but I love SB, PA & Sax&Max! :)
#3
If you've got TF2 you can unlock items in the poker game :)
#4
God I wish I got Ruse when it was £9 at Amazon. I love being at my girlfriends but I hate not having my passwords to buy crap lol.
#5
You should really find that password... Then you can take advantage of these deals anywhere! :D
#6
Awww, shame you've gotta buy the games to win the challenges :(

Dude, it's still £8.99 and in stock at Play.com.
#8
I recommend everyone waits until their Christmas sale - assuming they have one of course.
#9
They'll still have some great deals with this sale too. I doubt any game in this sale will be available cheaper in the Christmas sale.
#10
What's chime and the poker game like? I need a bit of retail therapy.
#11
A bit underwhelming so far. Only 3 games on sale, not particularly exciting ones and they only change every other day. The competition is a complete crock. You have to own all the sale games to complete the challenges and then how many winners will there actually be? EDIT: Answer, 20.

Actually that is VERY good advice. The Steam Christmas Sale is legendary for offering impossibly cheap deals on games, and Steam are well known for reducing prices even further as the sales progress (hence don't buy too early). Starts on the 20th this year.

Chime is an excellent game, and for £1 an absolute bargin.
#15
I love Chime, I bought it on both 360 and PC. Great deal for £1. :)
#16
The "thanksgiving" sale a week or two ago was fantastic - typical reductions were at least 75% off (I nabbed several at 90% off). I bought loads of games that week - good ones too, not just the naff, old ones.

Hopefully the xmas sale will be just as good.

I assumed Steam were owned by DFS - one sale leads straight onto the next :D

Hey, whatever they need to do to get publishers to offer decent prices for downloaded games I am happy with.

But you don't have to complete all the objectives. So if you own only some of the games then there's presumably going to be a good chance of getting 10 objectives. 1 objective is to set up an avatar, for instance.
#20
You don't have to own the games to complete the objectives. I assume they're going to have at least one objective be something that everybody can do. Like, make a wishlist, or recommend a game to somebody. It's just that the more objectives you complete the more entries you get for the draw. I already owned Poker and already had the Iron Curtain, I bought Chime because it was £1 and I loved the game on the 360 but was always frustrated by the controls. PC makes this much better. I already had an avatar set. So I have 3 of 4 tickets for todays draw.

Plus the more objectives you complete you'll get hats in TF2.
#21
I meant for the two-daily draw, which you have to complete all objectives for.
#22
According to Wikipedia there are roughly 30m active users of steam, so don't hold you breath lol

I set up an Avatar but it was only because I realised there was such a thing, I only use Steam to game not to communicate to people on and I don't do multiplayer on there

I'll take a look at Chime if it's still on when I finally get home
#23
poker game is ok for £2, I wanted a poker game so I am not disappointing. It is a very small game, you win money but have no use for it, so you play another game and win more money. Hurrah
#24
Is the create an avatar challenge part of ruse?

Ok i'll wait before spending £1 on Chime...

I hope I don't regret it, or regret not having a new game to play for the next couple of weeks

This isn't true. You only need to complete ONE challenge to get ONE chance at winning the top 5 games on your wish list. Complete all four and you get four chances. Simples. :)

I bought Chime since it was so cheap. Worth a quid! :D
#27
My avatar was already set up, so that was one and cost nothing. I bought Poker Night and Chime for less than £3 all-in and enjoyed a night of gaming to get another 2. I'm not buying RUSE for £20 so I'll skip the 4th.
#28

What alasrati said, but more politely. :) Don't be crazy, get Chime - even if it is on sale at Christmas, I doubt it'll be cheaper than £1.
#30
I need friends for the next challenge!

But I have no friends
#31
So post your profile name and maybe you'll get some friends. I'm Robovski on Steam as well as here.
