Why havn't you listed Resident Evil 5?
#3
anyone who likes RPG's should get the witcher. Steal at that price. Heat added.

I'm thinking about witcher, puzzlequest(as it's under £1) and maybe bioshock 2(got the 1st one from steam in the last couple of months when it was last on sale).

got lara croft recently when it was 50% off at £4.99(think it was 50%), should have waited as not played it yet.

got oddboxx and lego batman a few hours back before the deals for the 20th finished, there were a couple others I was tempted by but didn't want to spend too much.

Puzzle Quest and Defense Grid are no-brainers, The Witcher and Burnout Paradise are also both steals for the price!

Does anyone know if the drm that ea uses still applies if the ea game is purchased through steam?
The reason I ask is that I'm considering burnout as the 1 I purchased from the ea store over a year ago will mo longer activate due to system upgrades, reformatting and upgrading to windows 7.

I promised myself to avoid ea due to the drm with their games but will reconsider if steam foes it without the drm.

Any help would be appreciated

Puzzle Quest is a must

Men of War is a really good game as well, surprised me as I was expecting it to be pants.

It depends on the game but Steam almost always list on the product page if the game contains DRM under the game details and I don't see anything mentioned for Burnout Paradise so I'm assuming there isn't any.

Compare that to Assassin's Creed 2 where it says:
3rd-party DRM: Ubisoft’s Online Services Platform. Ubisoft requires a permanent Internet connection to play this video game at all times.

The Witcher is fantastic but you'll need a decent rig

I don't think they do, I looked into mirror's edge from steam as the disc version is swarmed with drm, they said it had none as steam is in itself a form of drm. Thankfully after spore becoming one of the most pirated games ever because of strict drm EA have relaxed their drm policy, bout time.

Just went through the registration process and it does look like you need to register with EA, shouldn't stop you re-installing the game so long as you know your login details though.

Uh, should probably go without saying I bought the Burnout Ultimate Box Set. Got it on PS3 but it's been ages since I so much as looked at that system as a games console (media centre is all it gets used for these days) and I wanted to give it a whirl on the PC. Definately got a graphics upgrade from the consoles and being so close to the screen compared to the living room console setup makes it a whole different experience, especially when picking routes across the city. For less than £4 you really can't go wrong.

The thing that annoyed me about the drm was when I purchased crysis and crysis warhead. The drm for these games (from what I remember but might be wrong) is that you could install it upto 5 times within a period of a year so if I bought it and then upgraded my motherboard or bought a new system 15 months after buying the game then I would have to rebut it . I've bought crysis warhead on 3 seperate occasions now and I don't want to keep rebuying a game that I've already paid for.

Awesome price for The Witcher, heat added. Was going to pick up the other day but had a couple other games to get through but for this price its a no brainer even if I dont touch it for a couple weeks.

EA now offer software that should "deauthorize" a slot, meaning you can manage the counters yourself i think.
