This works out at £1-51p a litre.
Not really a bargain.

What a silly comment. Where is it any cheaper? It's at least £6 most places

If you are like me watching beer prices - you will know that 50p a 330 ml bottle of decent beer is good price.

Hey Guys.Be shrewed.
Aldi are now discounting Ottinger Pilsner, Quality PURE German Lager for less .Brewed to the German purity Laws.
Stella is OK........Brewed in the UK, not Belgium or Germany.
Thats all.
#11
Yep 50p per 500ml for 5% abv beer is definately not to be scoffed at.

I'm aware that from time to time they do crates for £10 or £12 which might work out even better per litre than this but those offers are not on all the time and if you're only a light drinker then a deal with a low minimum spend such as this is ideal. You'd certainly have to go a long way to find more Stella for your 3 quid than this!
#12
Stella lowered the alcohol content from 5.2 to 5% some time ago so although a premium beer it strength is the same as budweiser heineken sol sanmiguel I think the wife beaters have moved onto stronger stuf

Cheers, I'll try that. I had the Spaten when it was 99p - bloody lovely and I'll be buying it at full price (which is still a bargain for Oktoberfest beer).

I hate Stella, though I would try Belgian Stella. Oddly enough a few weeks ago, my friend bought a bottle of Stella in Wetherspoons, the usual UK sort, but his second bottle was actual belgian Stella, brewed in Belgium, I wonder if they are going to bring that in, instead of UK piss?

Spot On the Brewed (Made Under Licence) in the UK is pi55- but the proper brewed in Belguim is quality

It is if you just wanna buy a 6 pack as they are rarely this cheap.

There`s been stacks of deals when Stella has worked out about £1 a litre.
Some of you just don`t get it, you have to work out the litre price.
50p a bottle etc, blah,blah,blah means nothing.
A bottle could have any amount in it.
Voted cold at that price and who in their right mind would pay £6-49 for it.
Bet they don`t sell many at £6-49

Here`s a link to the last Morrisons Stella deal, just before Christmas, which worked out at £1-18p a litre.
That`s what I call a good price.

Here`s another just before Christmas at £1-01p a litre from Asda, £8 for 18 x 440ml cans

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/560476/stella-5-18-x-440-cans-now-8-00-at-

Makes £1-51p a litre look a bit pricey.

It's already been pointed out to you that:

a) Not everyone wants to buy deals which require a £10 to £20 minimum spend. A decent £3 deal like this perfect for a lot of people.

b) Those deals on large crates are only on from time to time. Yu point to an offer "just before Xmas". Well we are now at the end of February meaning "just before Xmas" was over two months ago. Myself, like others, am also waiting for the next big deal on £10 to £12 crates to come along and when it does I will be stocking up. If you could point us all in the direction of a current such deal we'd be most grateful. In the mean time however offers like this are sufficent to tide us over.
#20
You should have stocked up when it was £1-01p a litre, filled your garage.
All I said in my original post was it was hardly a bargain at £1-51p a litre.
Which it isn`t compared to past deals.
If you want to pay over the odds,go ahead.
That`s all ----------- chill out.
#21
As it happens I did buy a few cheap crates of Stella in before Xmas. Unfortunately unlike you I'm not lucky enough to have a garage on my house and what with having to store tons of kids Xmas presents before the big day, space was at a premium. What bargain crates I did have in over Xmas have since been drunk by myself friends and family.

So a little scenario for you. I would like to have a drink tonight. And what with Stella being my favourite tipple I fancy a few bottles of Belgium's famous Artois. Please recommend me a deal which I could go out and buy after work this evening that beats this one.

If you can then I'll hold my hand up and accept that your cold vote was justified and if not well.........

You`re making a mountain out of ----------------------

£1-01p a litre is better than £1-51p, so as I said in my first post ,not really a bargain.

if you are desperate for a drink tonight,go and buy it,but it`s no bargain, simple as that.

Are you going to wait until next Christmas until you buy more lager then?
No wonder you’re so wound up, I would be also if I had to wait that long for a beer. :-D

Not wound up and no need to wait for Christmas.
Very cool (like this deal) after going to the garage and quaffing a couple of cans of £1-01p a litre Stella from the stockpile.
Roll on the next really cheap deal and you guys, please keep posting them.:p

There's a deal Here for Stella in cans at about £1.21 a litre.
Glad you don’t have to wait until Christmas; I was thinking of asking the Red Cross to send a few St Bernards your way. :)

BTW the cheapest deals are for cans and this deal is for bottles.

Thanks very much for posting the link.
Although in my case (no pun) not short of supplies at the moment.
By all means send the St Bernards but don`t they usually carry brandy. :-D

Thanks again

I see no reason why they can’t pull a sledge stacked with crates of Stella also. :-D
Maybe that should be an Olympic sport; a skier leading a team of St Bernard’s pulling a 1,000L of Stella. First to the ski lodge wins a medal and first pick of the chalet girls. That would surely be better than curling. :w00t:

Don`t talk tripe,it`s the same lager in the can as it is in the bottle,so why would you pay an extra 30p a litre for it?
Once it`s tipped into a glass there`s no difference.
And don`t try to say it tastes better out of a bottle.
There`s no difference,it`s lager.

The difference is that some people much prefer to drink from a bottle and are happy to pay a premium for the privilege; each to their own.

Absolutely, I always insisted on bottles of lager during the morning break at school whilst the other children drank milk from the bottle. :w00t:

Bought 3 packs Thursday evening. The next day only 1 remained.

People say these deals make people drink more and my above comment seems to confirm that. But... it means I only have 1 for tonight now, can't really afford to buy anymore. So instead of having 9 bottles and 9 bottles on my drink nights (Thurs and Sat) I had 12 and 6. Taken together I wouldn't have drank more than I anticpated, just saved a few more pennies.
