Step Up: Special Edition (Dir. Anne Fletcher) (2006): Incredible dancing and awesome music fuel Step Up, the exhilarating and inspiring movie starring Channing Tatum (She's The Man) who sizzles as Tyler Gage, a rough and streetwise hunk with raw talent.

When Tyler finds himself doing community service at a school for the performing arts, he also finds Nora, a beautiful and privileged classically trained dancer who's searching for a temporary replacement for her injured dance partner. Spying Tyler's smooth moves, Nora decides to take a chance on him. But as they begin training, tension builds, tempers flare and the differences in their backgrounds explode - igniting this electrifying tale about not giving up on your dreams.

Step Up 2 The Streets (Dir. Jon Chu) (2008): Set at the Maryland School of the Arts, Step Up 2 The Streets| revolves around dance student Patrick (Robert Hoffman) and rebellious new student Andie (Briana Evigan).

When rebellious street dancer Andie lands at the elite Maryland School of the Arts, she finds herself fighting to fit in while also trying to hold onto her old life. When she joins forces with the school's hottest dancer Chase to form a crew of classmate outcasts to compete in Baltimore's underground dance battle The Streets, she ultimately finds a way to live her dream while building a bridge between her two separate worlds.

voted hot!
6 and 5.5 on IMDB, and considering its aimed for teens, thats probably inflated as it is. I saw a few clips and it looks painfully bad.
i've only seen Step up 2 the streets and it was amazing! really good! i didnt think i'd like it since im more into chick flicks or action rather than dance films however having read the great reviews it had on (85 reviews and overal 4.5/5) (92 reviews on and overall 5/5) i thought id buy it and see what its like, some of my friends had already seen it at the cinema and said how good it was but at the time i didnt think it was my thing, however having watched it, my views have changed, i love it! definitely like saved the last dance but better dancing in my opinion, its so good, the actors/actresses are ideal for the role and the storyline is really good! the dancing though is amazing! definitely worth a fiver, and you get the first film with this too!! i recommend it! apparently 2nd is better than the 1st too! :)
Great films, preferred the first one a little but more
I won't vote this cold as I'm sure SOMEONE will like the films, but this is about £6 overpriced - and yes, I do realise that's £1 more than the cost. One of the few films I've walked out of* AND I had free tickets!
(*The others were Syriana and Blair Witch - I only stayed in Iron Man because I was mid-row and sleeping quite comfortably!)
Yeah these are teen and chick flicks but Ive seen both of them and I really really liked them. Second one is better though.
