Great books at great prices.

'Stephen Fry is one of the great originals. This autobiography of his first twenty years is a pleasure to read, mixing outrageous acts with sensible opinions in bewildering confusion. That so much outward charm, self-awareness and intellect should exist alongside behaviour that threatened to ruin the lives of innocent victims, noble parents and Fry himself, gives the book a tragic grandeur and lifts it to classic status." - "Financial Times". "A remarkable, perhaps even unique, exercise in autobiography - that aroma of authenticity that is the point of all great autobiographies; of which this, I rather think, is one" - "Evening Standard". "He writes superbly about his family, about his homosexuality, about the agonies of childhood - some of his bursts of smile take the breath away- his most satisfying and appealing book so far" - "Observer".

Fry's the kind of person who would write that gushing, boastful blurb himself. I'm pretty sure he refers to himself as 'one of the great originals'

Privileged ****. I wish he'd never came back when he disappeared, even if he was doing it for cynical commercial reasons. No doubt he'll pretend to have a mental illness again to sell further copies.

Thanks for that, be sure to go and drop him some abuse on twitter if you wish. He does have a good following though, and I believe this is the best price around for these books.

I think Dayman76 believe Fry made up his Bi-polar illness to sell books. Crazy!

Sell books, get attention, excuse his questionable remarks regarding man-boy love and so-on. The thing about Fry pretending to be mental is that it serves him so well in so many ways

I would suggest you make an appointment with your GP and get him to review your medication. Whilst Fry can be, arguably, a bit annoying his sexuality and mental health issues are pretty well clear and his open discussion of such things have been a huge benefit to the World.
