Written and produced by horrormeister Stephen King teamed with experimental filmmaker Lars von Trier, this 13-part TV mini-series is set in the haunted Kingdom Hospital, built on the wreckage of two horrific fires. The first fire occurred in the civil war, burning down a mill where small children, nearly all of whom were trapped and died in the fire, were forced to work under nightmarish conditions. The second fire destroyed a creepy old hospital where an evil doctor performed hideous experiments on patients. The current hospital is the site of strange, paranormal phenomena, where the unquiet dead from these previous incidents still roam the wards. Andrew McCarthy stars as brilliant, eccentric surgeon Dr Hook. Episodes are: 'Thy Kingdom Come', 'Death's Kingdom', 'Goodbye Kiss', 'The West Side of Midnight', 'Hook's Kingdom', 'The Young and the Headless', 'Black Noise', 'Heartless', 'Butterfingers', 'The Passion of Reverend Jimmy', 'Seizure Day', 'Shoulda Stood In Bed' and 'Finale'.
