Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital Box Set is just £12.89 delivered @ Sendit.com! Next cheapest price i can see is £17.75!

Kingdom Hospital is the first television series written and produced by Stephen King. Kingdom Hospital is not like other hospitals - it is built on the wreckage of two horrific fires. The first fire, during the civil war, burned down the Gates Falls Mill where small children toiled away under nightmarish conditions - nearly all of the long-suffering children were trapped and died in the fire. The second fire destroyed the "old Kingdom," a creepy hospital where an evil doctor performed hideous experiments on patients. The "new Kingdom" is the site of strange, paranormal phenomena, where the unquiet dead still roam. Every week, over 20 regular and recurring characters check in and out of Kingdom Hospital, playing out the eternal conflict between good and evil.

Cheers, fella.

Couldn't be bothered watching it on TV but Stephen King's always worth a punt.

Same can't always be said of Andrew McArthy though!

I really liked this, the early episodes are nice and surreal (and with a talking aardvark!)
Good price too.

It is a bizarre little oddity for sure. I personally liked it, some won't though.

I was talking about this the other day - I loved it. Random, thanks!

I would advise checking out the original series of this, Lars Von Trier's danish TV series 'Riget' and 'Riget II' (translating roughly as 'The Kingdom'). Much more surreal and quirky, before King stole the idea and americanised it.

Yeah, quite a few reviews say that. This was surreal enough for me, though, and it takes away from the effect (for me) if I spend the whole time reading subtitles. Shame it's not in German... And also it seems that the story wasn't finished because 5 of the actors died. Like the Exorcist :s

EDIT: The Riget story I meant - a third series was written but never performed.

Deffo agree with this. the orginal is surreal, creepy and subtly frightening. Stephen King's version is slick, polished, Americanized and utterly unengaging. Full of over-the-top special effects and stupid scenes like a man without a head running around searching for his head to the sound of Basement Jaxx's "Where's Your Head At?" Subtle it ain't.

Had this for about the same price not long after in came out...think it was a miss price on amazon....it's a little slow with some lol moments in it but I liked it....just wish I didn't lend it to my dad....he's had it for over 2 years now still in the cellophane. ;/
