[quote=NSA]I'm still waiting for Mercedes to offer discounts on the A45...[/quote

I tried, I was basically laughed out of Brentford. A two year waiting list may have something to do with it.

I've had similar experiences...

I'm thinking of getting a 250 engineered by AMG as a stop gap and then wait a year or two until they offer some kind of discounts on the A45. I think it's currently overpriced for what it is and I certainly am not paying over £500 a month for one!

Road tax is only 200 and insurance is person dependent. As I said mine was only 400£ total, your situation maybe 1000£ more but with someone else it may be nowhere near that.

Purely from a car and running costs perspective, it's awfully close to make me consider in upgrading.

Yes 500£ a year extra (or 2k) over 4 years maybe too much for some, but if that was the case i would argue for a similar basic car, I would shop elsewhere.

The deal someone posted on the first page is 100£ lower then this for a car with the same performance as a diesel. Why would you choose this deal over that?

The "deal someone posted on the first page" is not £100 lower as that deals is excluding VAT. This deal is including VAT.

You are correct, it's only 70£ less a month, though the 120D is also listed as over 2k dearer than the 116i
