Note, I will be ordering 4 to get free shipping. I need them for myself, partner and father. However, if you are not able to make up orders in this way to more than £20, then Scan shipping costs make this rather expensive - perhaps better going for the £9.99 webcam on Play that was posted a few days back...

I'm stuck between this and the one at play.com at £9.99. I only need one but could have other thuings I could buy at scan if need be.
#3
it costs £14.03 with P&P. If you have nothing else to buy then this more or less double the money of the webcam.

I bought the mikomi one from Argos recently for £9.99. That has turned out to be quite good. Still USB 1.1 but cant complain for the money.

yes, I know. This is only really a good deal for those who have free shipping with scan and have another thing/s to buy to bring the cost to £20 or more. Luckily that applies to me on both counts, hopefully one or two others might be in the same boat.

Anyone have any other suggestions for a decent webcam other than this one and play.com deal in the £10 or less price range?
#6
is it possible to still signup and get free delivery from scan?

There was something about this a couple of months ago. scan reintroduced the offer by signing up to some new forum -- not hexus, which demands a certain number of qualifying posts first -- try searching for scan on this site and see what you come up with

I just phoned my local asda and they do have an m trust model at £6.72 but it doesn't have a built-in microphone like this one. Unless your computer already has a built in mic this means you would need to plug headphones & mic in too...

see the price change on this scan deal. And I wouldn't want to buy separate webcam and mic; the point of having them integrated is to avoid this...

I don't think mic in a cam is that efficient imo! But could be good for you.. if thats it.. go ahead! Cheers! [:)]!

Several of my friends use webcams with mics built-in and they are abolutely fine. I know because I've been listening to them on Skype. Sometimes, when they rabbit on, I wish the mics weren't so good! :-D
