Its a shame Reading did not think about reducing their prices (£42) in order to fill up their ground before their Southampton game. If they had some support they may have done better

I thought I saw a tweet from the official Reading feed saying it had sold out.

Must admit - I was surprised to see empty seats. Although tbh, I can't see that some more bums on seats would have changed the outcome :-D

Make a very good point, but i don't think my girlfriend would be too impressed!

Unbelievable, as a Swindon fan I just forked out £350 for a renew for League 1!! New tickets cost £380!

This works out at £5.22 per game, that's unprecedented!

thats cause you support a s**t team in a **t town

Although being a Season Ticket Holder at The Etihad this is a great offer for cheap football.Good on County pricing football sensibly and hope you hit the target.County are hopefully back on the up again!!!

What happens if the offer lapses? Do you get an automatic refund? Do you automatically get charged a higher price? I'd be interested to know how the offer works - I doubt they'll get 5,500 season tickets sold if I'm being honest.

Ah, I see - The credit card details get destroyed, no money is taken and you have to reapply - looks like a pain the bum for Stockport to be honest. If they don't hit the target, then surely this is going to upset a lot of the fans who might choose not to purchase a season ticket at full price. Poor marketing campaign if I'm being honest (but hot if they do his the 5,500!).

It will be interesting to see whether or not they can attract 5,500 season ticket applications by the deadline. If they don't then the offer lapses. Average home league attendance for Stockport this season is 3,540 so 5,500 is quite an ask when you consider that the 3,540 average will include away fans.

He is a great manager. He won't take kindly to bad attitude which is what the Vale had and by the look of it you also had bad ownership like County did. I now understand his comment but I would look at your players. Oh the days of visiting you and Stoke....look what happened to us all.

You WHAT? You mean the same Jim Gannon that got County promoted? The same Jim Gannon that has come back and got them out of the relegation? What a load of nonsense...
Now Carlton Palmer that is a different story but I doubt you watched then.
Carlos007
can't add any heat...still scarred by Jim Gannon's reign over my beloved team ;0)

he might mean when he **** the vale up, what a poor manager, no players liked him

You're right - both clubs in a right state. Gannon getting off the bus half way down to Aldershot was a classic moment! LOL!

Oh for the heady days of the 93 Autoglass final ;0)

All these Football Teams offering payment to watch their games ........ £5 to stand in the cold and rain watch 22 grown men chasing a ball? Give me £50 and I'll consider it! ;)

Strange argument - why blame Stockport fans for going to see City 'because they are successful' when United habe been successful for 20 years and are just as close?

Why would any city fans bother to go watch these numpties? City used to have real close ties to this club back in the day but it all changed when we went into freefall and county had their purple patch and for some reason they thought they were better than us. I still get some county fans trying to take the mick out of my team even though we're top of the premier league.
Burn't bridges !!

Because Stockport fans are proper football fans who've stuck with their team through thick and thin whereas Citeh fans have just jumped on a success bandwagon. When Citeh were in league 1 a few years back their average attendance was 28,000, so where have the 20,000 extra fans who follow them now suddenly appeared from?

Of course the standard at Stockport's going to be well below premiership level, but in a funny way incompetence particularly in defence, makes for a far more entertaining game!

I bet if you compared your attendances from when you were in championship they be well off what they are now lol
So if I go I'll get a fiver!?!?! Brilliant but would probably still feel short changed!
