This keyboard is exactly the same as the standard iGo Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard, but is branded with a DELL logo. A standard one cost more than this one. I couldn't find a cheaper bluetooth keyboard let alone a stowaway one (generally the best foldaway keyboards around).

If you buy this with the Nokia 770 you will pay no more in postage than for the nokia 770.

You will need a drivers for this to work with the Nokia 770. According to the site they have tested the stowaway with the nokia 770 and it works fine.

http://770.fs-security.com/maemo-bt-plugin/

https://garage.maemo.org/frs/download.php/495/maemo-bt-plugin_0.6.1-1_armel.deb

Installation: Download the above software package either directly to the 770, or transfer it on a MMC card. Use the Application manager, or simply double click the package in the file manger. After restarting the device you should see a new Bluetooth icon in the statusbar area of the desktop.

Just to state that a USB keyboard will not work with the Nokia 770, as it does not give power to the usb device, so the only easy options available is to use a bluetooth keyboard.

The keyboard shown is a 5 row keyboard, the description on the site is for a 4 row keyboard. I suspect at this price it is a 4 row!!
#7
Which row would they remove though. I think more likely that it is 5 rows and it is a typo.

Man your quick edi, how do you know when someone new has posted? Suddenly imagine you in a CCTV control room but with all the monitors showing hotukdeal pages :-)

Just checked and the normal non dell brand version is £69.99 from Expansys so it is half the normal price.
#12
I'm pretty sure the Dell one is 4 rows. The number row is removed so you use num lock and the QWERTY row for numbers.

Yeah, I was going to say quite a few of these keyboards sacrifice the top row to get the size down. Still, looks a great price - going to had a proper read up on this as it seems perfect for the N93.

Thanks for the welcome.

Still a good price. I use a 4 row with my palm. Thought I should highlight to potential buyers though.:)
#16
so it this a 5 row or 4 row keyboard ? Also, can the £10 off £20 or over order be used ? The code is GSK9175750 and expires mid august.
#17
I think the 4 row dell one is different. I have a 4 row stowaway and they are different (usually more expensive) than the five row ones in that they are more compact. If it is 4 row it would be an even better buy but I still think it is likely to be a 5 row one. If someone buys it, it would be good to post your view on here for those thinking of buying.

Wordsworth by name and wordsworth by nature - this is the most comprehensive post I've ever seen.

Ordered one of these for my Pocket PC. Looks similar to the one I use for Palm M515. Very useful.
#20
If you go to the deal at expansys under description and Technical Details it states 'Near full-size 4 row keyboard for touch-typing'.

Would prefer 5 row, but at this price happy to compromise.

As I had a £10 off voucher from the Nokia 770 I couldn't resist ordering one of these.

Thanks for spotting this, a nice find as this is a very good price for a portable BT keyboard!

Got my Bluetooth keyboard from eXpansys. It has 4 rows of keys and is a Dell Branded brown boxed iGo Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard + Dell CD Driver disk for the Dell Axim PDA's, And this is what it looks like this :-

That picture on the eXpansys website for this product is wrong and is some other iGo Bluetooth Keyboard going by the iGo website

These pics show the size of the Dell (iGo) keyboard in relation to the N770.
