Chestnut Roasting Pan with Wooden Handle - £4.99 plus postage from StrawberryFool £7.94

A festive boutique prezzie - Chestnut Roaster from StrawberryFool. I'd never thought of a chestnut roaster - a great money-saver given that pre-roasted and peeled chestnuts are expensive!

I always have one that pops even if you pierce them :-) but then I know they are done yummy

The trick is to not just pierce them with a point but to cut a 1-2cm slit on one side..not enough for it to split it into two halves.
Never had one burst using that method and it also makes them easier to shell.

Can't beat a cross - I find. They kind of open by themselves then. :{

Web site states they are also suitable for use in an electric or gas oven - eh? With a wooden handle? Save money and cupboard space, and stick them on a baking tray, and for those that enjoy loud bangs and cleaning ovens - don't bother to pierce them. Not that I ever have. Ahem. 8)

If it wasn't for the fact the Schnauzer would probably eat them, i'd get these for my mum. But a bit expensive for a dog chew.
Think they are fab though!

There's so much fuss and excitement when when a decent PS3 slim deal comes up here couldnt resist, what I regret is not creating my own web page with a counter to see how many fools I caught. :p
It was/is a good one kev. This place is one of the dullest sites around with a number of members who have a total personality/humour bypass. You know who you are! Come on then, lets hear your petty complaints.... :roll::roll::roll:
