why cold?

Not sure why this is being voted cold (other than the fact that Play.com & ShopTo.net have the item in stock for immediate despatch, but both at a higher price).

Also, HMV have an Exclusive Sleeve variant for £27.99.

Heat added from me, anyway.

---

Has anybody seen the Collector's Edition [PS3] for less than £57.99 at ShopTo.net?

GAME have it for £69.99! (Granted with 9% QuidCo off that & double reward points for a pre-order)

I'm still not convinced on this title. I certainly don't want to be paying silly money for the Collector's Edition if it isn't going to sell & be half price by mid-March.

(Still got "FEAR 2: Project Origin" to open and, of course, "Killzone 2" is out next Friday, and "Resident Evil 5" two weeks after that. Too many good games about... again!!)

will teh hmv £27.99 deal be available instore on fri? anyone know please?

HMV always take ages to deliver though, as their games come from Guernsey, so this may actually be a better deal.
From some of the other forums I visit it looks like it has already shipped out to people who previously pre-ordered it, so they should have theirs for day of release.
As fr the game, pure class, just like the old Srett Fighter games, even down to how cheap, annoing and downright hard the last boss is :)

The HMV web site prices are usually lower than the in-store prices.

The larger branches will have the Exclusive Sleeve on the shelves on Friday, but not necessarily at £27.99.

Order from the web site if you want that price.
To guarantee you get it in your hand on Friday, go into one of the stores (with the benefit of pre-ordering for collection if that reassures you).

I think that maybe that is my problem, Mike. Although I like typical martial arts/fighting titles, the pre-7th generation console "Street Fighter" games have never appealed to me because there doesn't appear (to me) to be any real depth to the strategy involved. I know most titles of this nature can be beaten by just mashing the joypad buttons, but I've never found anything to like about "Street Fighter" titles previous released.

I would like to "get with the program[me]" with this iteration of the series, as I've heard good things about it, but with so many other games available now, or in the near future, I'm finding it hard to justify buying it for the sake of it.

BFN,

fp.
