Been lurking on the site for a while now, and thought I'd post this deal, as it's a scorcher.

Please make sure you know what you are voting on before voting hot/cold. Not that you'll be voting cold of course, since this is the best price for the stick at the moment anyway... ;)

Also, the 360 version is on the same site, but for about £117 + delivery. Cheap, but not as cheap as were selling them a while back.

P.S. Would link the image file, but at work, so can't. :)

Voted hot by me ! I paid £150 for one of these from Game a few months back (mind you, I sold it on eBay a couple of weeks later for £280)

Wat,,,,,,, how ??? is it that good ? :s

They were as rare as rocking-horse poop at one point, but don't think the demand for them is the same now (hence why this one is being sold for 2/3 of the rrp).
Not bad.. they've the MadCatz joypads as well - which are reasonably priced too...
Don't get me wrong, this is a good price, and I'm not trying to sidetrack the thread or anything, but does anybody else think these are massively over-priced in the first place?

I understand they are a specialist (possibly novelty) accessory, and hardcore old school 2D beat em up fans are used to them, and they look very well built, but essentially it's just a controller.

I'd have thought they'd retail for around £60, but not nearing £100. I suppose it has the incidental value of complementing the announced re-release of Marvel Vs Capcom 2 on the x360, but still.
I see the cold voting trolls have been at it again...

As regards the value of the stick. It's not actually as overpriced as you might think. The Sanwa stick and buttons alone cost about $50 (ie £50, courtesy of UK consumer ripoff), and on top of that you're getting a very nice base unit for the stick, it all built for you (built in such a way as to allow you to mod easily, ie no souldering), some nice artwork, and a very fancy box.

Obviously it's going to cost more than the components do, but then doesn't everything? At this price, it's only £30 more than the Arcade Fightstick, which doesn't have the top quality Sanwa internals, nevermind the actual base being much smaller and less high quality.
Remember that you can get free delivery if you buy something above £20 with the av forums deal!
Not voted as I don't know the ins and outs of these, but I agree with Zerobob about how rediculously priced these things seem to be in the first place, I'd think it's a bit pricey even at £50 for controller with what - 8 buttons and a joy stick? I guess you've really got to be a fan of the game...
