Cheapest I've seen it so far.

The legendary fighting franchise returns with Street Fighter V Powered by Unreal Engine 4 technology, stunning visuals depict the next generation of World Warriors in unprecedented detail, while exciting and accessible battle mechanics deliver endless fighting fun that both beginners and veterans can enjoy. Challenge friends online, or compete for fame and glory on the Capcom Pro Tour.

For the first time in Street Fighter history, all post launch gameplay related content in Street Fighter V can be earnable via gameplay, free of charge. All balance and system adjustments will be available for free, so players will always have access to the most current version. Additional characters will be continually added, making this the first iteration in the franchise where it's possible for dedicated players to continue to expand on their gameplay experience without the need to purchase further titles in the series. Street Fighter V will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and PC. Through a strategic partnership between Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and Capcom, the next generation Street Fighter experience will offer cross platform play that will unite fans into a centralized player base for the first time ever. The path to greatness begins here: RISE UP.

Both Guilty Gear and BlazBlue games are available via Amazon for a similar price. Far, far better value for money. Neither are slouches in the gameplay department either.
#7
Had to bite at this price , hopefully more games to come
#8
This was the biting price for me, and then noticed I had £6 in points. Happy with that!

The gameplay is good (as ever), the game itself is threadbare and flabby.

Had this since a few weeks post release. Don't really play it, just waiting for Akuma..

But it looks gorgeous

If you want to destroy your controller, play these type of games, button bashing galore. I prefer button bashing on an arcade stick, feels so much more satisfying.

Its a fighting game so as long as it has multiplayer thats all that matters.

At launch most definetely but not anymore it's perfect right now how it should have launched from the start, copied pasted this:
"Since its release on the 16th of february, the game has been updated with a number things:
VS. CPU
6 extra playable characters
A free cinematic story mode
Free Chun-Li and Ryu Story costumes
Challenge mode:
Demonstrations
Combo Trials
Daily (weekly) Targets for 100-5000 FM
Stage transitions for all default stages
Improved matchmaking for matching with similar skill
Online rematch, 2 out of 3
8 Player lobbies
A rage quit system, still being updated.
8f is now 6.5f"

Is this any good for one player? Thanks

It may have more modes now but it's still a rubbish game. I made the mistake of buying it digital so can't sell it on :( Mortal Kombat XL is much better.
#20
**** sake, bought the base one

Local 2 player is as good as street fighter 2 turbo, which for me was the pinnacle of street fighter

Fighting games are like shooting games that its always better to play with other people. I guess you could but theres so much fun playing multiplayer. We aren't in the PS2 days anymore. Join in!

Its in a better state now than it was at launch. Gouki is available to play at the upcoming Playstation Experience in Anaheim, California in early December so I'm guessing he'll be added to the roster in Dec/Jan as a result.

Although I've had to grind somewhat for some of the character unlocks I've stuck to getting them that way rather than buckle and buy the season pass (this is my own silly fault for buying alternate character costumes/colours with the in-game Fight Money though tbh).

£14.00 is a great price. If Capcom sticks to their word you wont have to buy another version of SFV again later down the line.

Guilty Gear Xrd will give you more for less play time. The game's story mode is literally you watching a variety of scenes and occaionally pressing the O button (unless you put it on auto progression in that mode's settings).

SFV does allow the player to unlock all DLC characters and most costumes/stages by playing the game's modes and online. Only the premium costumes/Ring of Destiny are paid-for content but aren't essential for enjoying the game.

I'm not sure which of the two has the greater online community atm but I'm guessing you can pick up these two for the price of a new title at RRP now (i.e sub-£45 - £50).

Hope that helps to some extent.

Good good just wish they would lower the price on Guilty Gear Xrd :{

Ordered yesterday and should have arrived in store today. Didn't arrive. Checked tracking and still has not been dispatched. Called Tesco Direct and managed to bag a £5 refund (originally offered £2.50)... so effective cost only £9 ! :D

Has anyone received or collected their copy? Is the game any good? Saw the endless number of negative reviews on Amazon for this game so was going to cancel my order but at £9 I might as well keep it!

Don't listen to him. Literally no one plays the Guilty Gear games and for casuals the difficulty is unbearable. You will regret buying that.

Great game.. The new update adds on "vs CPU" mode which was missing from the original release!
