Ive been doing this for like a year, only the ones local to me only offer a cheeseburger or hamburger. They used to offer mcflurrys aswell but that stopped.
#2
You used to have a MacD student card... but thanx 4 the heads up...
#3
Good offer - voted hot: but it sort of depends how old your OH is?

Is this for students, or of student age only?
#4
well his 21 doing an apprentiship but you have to show your student ID card at the counter shame i didnt have mine to....
#5
haven't u got to have an nus or equivalent? This is listed in the info pack they give u with the nus if so. and I used to do this when I was a student... 5 years ago, offer has never stopped...
#6

Free overdrafts, loans for silly low interest rates, grants, cheeseburgers from mc donalds, lower taxes on certain items, student discounts on loads of things. Need I go on?

As said before, go out, work, and pay for ur things.
#12
well you need an education to work dont you.... better to be in education than the bummy chavs on the street these days that cause havoc n damage things that your taxis pay for

You do indeed need an education to work. But there is no excuse for some students. Alot of them go to uni cos they dont want to step into the real world. Then there is the ones who drink all week and get rat assed all the time, and moan that they have no money. It all comes out of the loans etc. That if students dont pay back, the taxpayers have to.

Hmmm a tad of jealousy? Everyone is a student at some time, if you are studying full time at university or college then you can't be expected to work a full time job too?! You're talking rubbish mate....Oh and by the way, we don't pay any council tax either:thumbsup:

I do work but i also have to study... we have lectures, coursework, revision, group and single projects etc etc...

I dont know which micky mouse university you went to... if you went to university that is...

plus we have to pay for accomodation, books, tuition fees let alone having a life too

They are not free overdrafts...
The student loan... research it, u pay back what u owe plus interest at a rate above inflation.
Lower taxes on what?
Student discount is trivial...
Wouldn't u rather educated people working in the future for this country, paying "ur" taxes etc.

& who says we don't go out and work? I have been working since I was 16, I pay my way thru uni and do not get a penny from my family... nor these grants you speak of.

Maybe u wish 2 look in2 that, I fully agree, the grants thing is complete rubbish, why if ur parents are seperated do u deserve a lump sum every year... just because they are not 2getha doesn't mean they are less likely to help u out.

I am jealous, I wish I could get what students get for the amount of work some of them do.

I have no issue with students who work hard. I have big issues with them when they bum around all day, doing nothing. Drinking and moaning about the world, when its set out on a plate for them.
#18
but majority of us students are there for an education so we can step into the real world so for me i think free student stuff is a bonus, all this free stuff is there to incourage alot of kids to start college or uni i think

you know that the loans have to be standing for about 20 years before they are written off.. and you automatically pay them back once you start work... you dont choose to.. it comes out of your paycheck.

do you know anything about students? or were you too dumb to get into uni and are a dustbin cleaner that found a laptop in a bin and use someone elses wireless internet to come on this site?

aircanman is probably from the golden oldies era where University was completely free and u were paid to go!!!

Times have changed my friend.

lol, enough of the insults now, my quote was SOME students.

And in my area, the SOME covers quite a few people.

Its like top up fees, all the moaning. If you want a top class education, pay for it!

And FYI, I diddnt go to uni, and I am better off for it. Excellent wages, home, car etc. and I had it without having to devote my life to education for 5 years.

those kinds of people would be on job seekers allowance, living in a coucil house and god knows what other benefits if they werent at uni.
plus most of us need what help we can get as uni is expensive and we dont get grants we get LOANS.

trust me mate if i was you i'd give up right here on this thread.

Lol, ALOT of students do minimal work, and do nothing but go out and get ****** all the time.

And a few people get grants, depends where you are from. &, although they are loans, they are cheap loans. Which, if you dont earn a certain amount you can get for FREEEEEEEE!! There is that word again.

Students get it easy full stop. - I mean come on, why should you get free council tax?

What a prat you are, don't you think students are studying to gain a job of a higher calibre to enable themselves to pay for things, or become doctors or nurses or professors.

Fair enough... but all walks of life... we should be worried about people scamming the system in other ways too.

It depends on the person... I'm in my final year, and I have learned a lot... but if ur gonna make something of urself u will always find a way.

lol daddy paid for it all and started u on your career road im guessing, my life isnt devoted to my education i have a laugh at college and have met lots of friends, not the kind u work in an office with and have to gain their friendship by buying them coffee or making it for them in the morning!!

you may be an exception to the rule.

people with a degree start on higher wages than the same person without one. plus people that have a degree dont have a pay ceiling where ones that dont will have their pay capped unless they own their own business.

i graduate this yr and my base pay is above higher rate tax.. go figure...

But if you're on excellent wages, why would you be jealous of a free mcflurry or 10% off some clothes? Once students finish their studies they have to pay for everything themeselves just like you do now....

As said before, for students you all must learn to read. SOME.

SOME SOME SOME, not all. Some students work dam hard for what they are going to acheive. And I respect you for it. But I know of at least 10 who dont. And are in uni to get away from their parents and are too afraid to step into the real world.

Last point on matter now

yeah i did the same for the first and second year but when "revision period" comes around I worked hard and got good grades.

and yes they may be cheap loans but the majority goes on fees and accomodation. and we pay back the same VALUE that we borrowed.

the GRANTS that are "FREEEEEEEEEEEEE" are minimal and means tested meaning not everyone can get them. so a university degree is by no means a meal ticket.

there are SOME SOME SOME people i know that didnt go to uni and are living off benefits... so what is your point?

there are some doctors that are negligent and end up killing people..

there are some drivers that are dangerous and end up having an accident

there are some athletes that take drugs

there are some people that go out at night and get lucky

there are some people that die virgins..

see how none of these sentences have a point? but they sound very much like yours...
